Bicubic and Bilinear resampling exist on many photo and video editing programs (Photoshop and VirtualDubMod is two of them). They give specific smoothing and/or sharpening effect when you have resized your image. Bicubic is very good, especially on VirtualDubMod, when you want the image to look clear, not so blurry and still get the screen-size you want. ^^

Oh yea, there's also Pixel Size resampling too.
Paint Shop Pro 7 has it and it's excellent for sprites (just remember the 200% / 50% resizing rule).
That is, if you don't use MS Paint of course, because you can do it there too. X3

I see, thanks Vixy. Now, untill I know HOW to use that feature in Photoshop(cause it's all I have right now) I'm sticking to what I got allright? So please, stop complaining about the aspect ratio. I still, think it looks fine. Maybe not great but it serves it's function.

Right click the image window > Resize image > Check "Constrain Proportions" > Resampling: Bicubic Smoother > Width: your screen width.

Then Resize Canvas to the height of your desktop, and adjust the visible area as desired.

Bitches don't know about my resizing by seam carving, but you need Photoshop CS4 or some GIMP add-on. Actually, I had to make a program that did that sort of resizing for school, but I'd have to translate its already unintuitive and ugly GUI to English, and it's unefficient as hell, it's programmed in Java, only supports JPG and GIF, etc, etc, etc.
