Talk about performance loss. :|

Sabayon and Mandriva have worked the best on my low end computer, I get surprising performance on Mandriva actually.
Gotta see what it's like with Compiz running though, not that I use it anyways.

F2 at startup. its a setting thats on. My old Xp used to do the same. 12:00 at night, it would turn on.

Pretty much. Fun Fact: I had a "desktop toy" when I was a kid, the Stitch one (and a few others) back when I was 5. these desktop toys are getting variable nowadays.
