I was so caught up with actual guitar that I forgot to listen to a new album I got today that I was looking forward to. I regret waiting. It's absolutely [tornado fang]ing sublime.

Got my Wii U set up, and for a moment I thought I screwed up the Wii to Wii U transfer process and probably wiped my save files of the physical Wii games I have, but thankfully all my files are safe and sound and onboard my Wii U. This pretty much demotes my original Wii to a GameCube. Typing this post with the gamepad as we speak.

That moment when you draw the perfect eye, but the second eye always comes out wonky.


I'm having one of those moments.

I've had those moments too but I wouldn't call my artistic abilities great to begin with.

Spent part of the evening practicing guitar chords on a guitar that was originally out of tune.  Prior to that, I tuned the guitar.

But yeah weirdly enough I spent all day practicing chords as well.

Gonna attempt to show my niece how to use her new tablet.  It's a Wacom Intuous, and it was a lucky find at a rummage sale.  I installed it and configured it, and got more use out of it than she has.

It didn't come with Photoshop, so I may get her the GIMP, but that has a steep learning curve that she'll hate.

We finally got to Arizona to give Grandma a surprise visit.  I have to say....I don't remember her 5th husband being so boring.  Then again he doesn't seem to be doing too well.  Also it seems my uncle on my dad's side wife has breast cancer again after 20 years and worse yet the radiation from the last time was too much so her arm doesn't work.

It's bad when their insessant presence breaks the immersion of Luke resisting the Dark Side. And also, turning the onslaught against the Stormtroopers into some slapstick assault.

I appreciate the world-building in showing tribes, but they were too annoying for me.

Just keep in mind that they're carnivorous, and that they probably ate all the Stormtroopers. That might stem the anger a bit.

Buy those sewing scissors. I've used that for more than 15 years now. The same one.
Or, invest in a good pair of nippers.

As for nubs that are left behind after you cut them, nail clippers work the best for me.
