The Mana-Verse

[Sakura Leic]

"Yeah I remember Daddy was really mad at that bug when he heard about it......." Sakura frowned too "I wonder why......."

[Phi]

Pema bit her thumbnail and tilted her head, "That looks like a serious bug bite. I hope that spoon helps."

She turned to Sakura, "I'd hate if there was any of those bugs around here. I don't want those marks, either..." she rubbed her neck.

[Sakura Leic]

"I hope not either....it's a disgusting bug....." Sakura nodded.

[Phi]

Salem stayed quiet, knowing all too well what was really on her neck.

(Salem left many a hickey, in his day. )

But seriously am I the only one who keeps imagining that Salem should have been a Cat?)

(I created Salem to symbolize the "Black Cat/Witch" motif. A girl with a flying staff/partner, reminiscent of a girl and a flying broom/cat. That's why he can fly, and the incident with the "flying Witch girl" was a homage to what he symbolizes.)

(I mean this Salem.

(Yes, he's also based on this Salem, but obviously, without his hilarious, snarky personality.)

The Professor watched silently, every now and then fussing with the bandages on his hands.  His training had rubbed them, and his palms had taken on a sharp sting, which he was trying to relieve by pulling the bandages, only to find that they were sticking to the moist spots.

He winced and stopped fiddling with them.

[Fxeni]

"Hmm I'm glad my spear didn't absorb mana like that... I don't think I'd be able to put it away if it did that," Fxeni said as he examined Toshi's spear. He touched it and closed his eyes to focus, sensing the flow of mana through it.

"Well as much of a jerk as he was, I must admit he sure knew how to build magitech. He really condensed the mana in those blasts from that magitech armour of his," Fxeni said as he lifted his hand off the spear. "It's keeping the mana stable enough for now, but if it starts acting weird let me know and I'll check it out."

[Quickman]

The Professor also held out his hand and touched the spear, but immediately withdrew his hand as if he were bitten by it. "It surges!"

He put his hand on it again, carefully, and left it there in order to feel the energy coursing through it.  It vibrated and throbbed with energy that he could feel rippling and crawling up his arm in serpentine waves.

"Fascinating... simply fascinating!"

Sakura pondered something as she took out a Kunai and enchanted it with a Holy Elemental spell.

"How is my magic compared to what's in her Spear?" Sakura asked as she held out the Kunai.

[Quickman]

The Professor touched it and held his hand against it.  While it had a similar resonance, it didn't surprise him as much as Toshi's glowing spear. "It has, it has a resonance, but, but, but not as, not as strong, yes?  The spear, the spear, it felt like a shock, a b-bolt of electricity... it raced up my arm!"

[Fxeni]

"Your mana isn't as condensed into the Kunai as the mana from the blast from the cannons were, Sakura," Fxeni explained. He pointed at the spear. "That mana was meant to explode into a burst of light energy. Toshi was very lucky that it got absorbed instead, hence why I want her to let me know if it ever seems... unstable."

[Sakura Leic]

"Yeah that's what I was worried about, like I said I had heard of a similar circumstance with the Man who shot the Sun with an Arrow, but it seems her's seems to be more....unnatural compared to that?" Sakura said as she tilted her head.

[Quickman]

The Professor touched Toshi's spear again.  The energy radiating from it made his palms feel warm, and he put both hands on it to ease the pain. "It... it's warm..."

[Phi]

Pema gawked at Toshi's glowing spear, "Such a mysterious glow... It's my turn to touch it next!"

She limped toward the spear and touched it, "Hmm, yeah, I think I can feel the mana flowing through it, too. Sometimes, I have difficulties with sensing mana, even though I'm a Runemaster; Salem said I should work on that. But other times... I can feel it strongly, like right now. I can feel everyone's mana... It's... soothing and warm."

She continued to grab the spear, when suddenly, she quickly pulled her hand away, "AH! Why did it get so hot?"

The illumination from the spear dimmed considerably as she pulled her hand away.

"What the heck...?" Salem floated closer to it.

Pema stared, and then glanced down at the floor, something weighing on her mind.

[Sakura Leic]

"What's up Pema?" Sakura asked.

[Phi]

"Why did the glowing dim... Wait, don't tell me..." Salem mumbled to himself.

"It's, uh, it's nothing... Excuse me, I-I'm gonna go find something to eat... or something," Pema rushed out of the room.

[Phi]

(Pema took Salem. He's her staff, after all.)

(Oh I didn't know, didn't say she grabbed him, I'll delete the post.

Though maybe you should have her run into Riagan or something so PB can get back in?  Though maybe you should PM him first.)

The Professor blinked a few times and then touched Toshi's spear once more, concentrating.  Finally, he looked to Sakura. "She... she absorbed the energy.  P-peam absorbed some of, some of the energy."

[Sakura Leic]

"That sounds...worrying....." Sakura gulped.

[Phi]

(Oh I didn't know, didn't say she grabbed him, I'll delete the post.

Though maybe you should have her run into Riagan or something so PB can get back in?  Though maybe you should PM him first.)
