The Mana-Verse

[Sakura Leic]

"Wh-What is this?" Sakura asked out loud.

"You sense it too?" Calien asked her.

[Blue Valkyrie]

Aya steps out to the center of the clearing from the bushes she can see multiple glowing eyes peering at her, growling and snarling don't do much to put her at ease. Before long wolf like animals emerge, or rather whats left of them, their forms twisted into monsters.

"Uh--everyone?" Aya yells glancing back at the cabin.

[Sakura Leic]

"Seems like we got some beasts to deal with." Calien sighed as he got out and brandished his battle axe.

"But something doesn't seem right about them." Sakura said as she unsheathed her beam saber and her eyes glowed red.

[Phi]

[Blue Valkyrie]

((Will start on the update ))

"No, wait! There is something dark and twisted in them! We have to be carefull!" She raises her hand to stop Sakura from just charging in.

[Sakura Leic]

"Already knew that." Sakura told her.

"Could this.....Could this be the result of the missing Omni Gem?" Calien wondered.

".....You have got to be kidding me!" Sakura face palmed.

[Blue Valkyrie]

"This--this is something old-something chaotic. Have you two ever seen anything like this here before?"

[Sakura Leic]

"No, but I have heard many a similar tale, when an ancient artifact created by some higher power gets stolen or used by one with a wicked heart things typically go to hell." Calien explained.

"Animals are usually the first who fall to the evil." Sakura nodded. "They've lost their minds."

[Blue Valkyrie]

"Is---there no way to help them?" Aya looks disheartened obviously not happy with idea of slaying an innocent animal.

[Sakura Leic]

"Unless we can somehow appeal to the being it was before then no." Calien shook his head "The only way to stop this is to return the Omni-Gem to its  rightful place."

"Why didn't The Queen put better defenses in place so something like this wouldn't happen?" Sakura face palmed again "I mean what happened to magic barriers and tests of character?  A single man shouldn't be able to do something like this with brute force alone!"

(I seriously wonder why I'm making Sakura so snarky all the sudden.)

[Blue Valkyrie]

((Ouch ))

"It's my fault for not protecting the city better." Aya bites her lip waiting for the wolves to attack.

[Sakura Leic]

"It's not your fault Aya." Calien shook his head "Some greedy man found a loop hole in the goddess defenses that she wasn't prepare for."

[Blue Valkyrie]

((I'll hold off till the others catch up and post.))

[Fxeni]

"I'd rather not hurt anything that's twisted against their will, but if it needs to be done..." Fxeni said as a glow shimmered over his hand and a spear appeared.

[Sakura Leic]

"It won't end the problem, it will only get worse." Calien sighed.

"But in order to stop this we have to survive." Sakura gulped.

[Blue Valkyrie]

The wolves seem less interested in the parties' moral debate as they all begin charging at the group at once from multiple directions. It would seem the whole pack is inflicted given their numbers.

[Sakura Leic]

Sakura began to enchant her blade with Electricity and began to attack the beasts as Calien began cutting them in half with his axe.

[Blue Valkyrie]

As a wolf pounced at Aya she nimbly ducked slashing upward a swath of black blood hits the ground poisoning and withering the grass right away, the wolf lets out a wine as it's life fades.

"This blood--do not let it touch you!"

[Fxeni]

A green glow appears under Fxeni's feet as he begins to chant.

"Howl O raging wind and cleave mine enemies with your blade! Turbulence!"

As the final words were uttered, a sudden gust of wind lifted two of the wolves into the air, where a small vortex of wind slashed them up.

[Sakura Leic]

"Even the blood is corrupted?" Sakura's eyes widen "I think I have to try a long range strategy now." 

She enchanted her blade with Light Magic and sliced the air in front of her creating a beam or light headjng for the wolves.

Calien meerly slashed away while being carful of the blood.

[Dr. Wily II]

Shadow Master noticed the corrupted monsters attacking the group. Perhaps he did not need to engage them after all, the monsters' numbers might just overwhelm them all.
... Plus it doesn't hurt to watch the carnage.

[Fxeni]

"Whoa!" Fxeni says as one attacks him. He sidesteps out of the way, and thrusts his spear upwards into the jumping wolf.

"Thunder Lance!" he yells, lightning coursing into the wolf.

[Blue Valkyrie]

Several wolfs all pounced at Aya at once leaving her no space to dodge, kneeling her blade returned to it's natural state of energy and reformed around her right arm as a gauntlet. as the wolves attempted to sink their claws into her a barrier formed keeping them all at bay, Aya frowned and the barrier suddenly expanded sending them flying into the bushes whence they came.
