Old becomes New! Forum Upgrade Complete!

Woo, it sure took a long time, but the forum is now fully functional and all our precious messages and topics are saved and can be read again!

Now what you see here is something different than what you're used to if you visited the forum at version 1.1.X, while this new one is now at 2.0.X, with much more functionality and stability, which means it has more features than the old forum had, but can also have even more stuff added to it. A few old features and add-ons might come back again after I look through to see which ones still works on this forum version, and which does not. We will also look through SimpleMachine Forum's official site to find more custom scripts and add-ons to enrich the forum experience.

I hope you can all get used to this new forum and the slightly different set-up in browsing and coloring. There are still a few adjustments to change in colors and text sizes, but we should be able to get used to it after a little while.

If a certain feature or add-on is missing, don't worry, we'll try to bring it back as soon as possible!

Please have fun on the new forum, and we'll bring you both old and new stuff to play with soon.

Looks good!  It's good to see this place up and running.  As far as features go, I could look on SMF's mod forum and see what bot busters they have.  Now that the forum's been upgraded, some of those mods should work better.

Sorry, Baidu bots.  You'll soon be history.

Okay, just checked member approvals and I need to find that mod that prevents bots from registering.  Out of ten members waiting, only one is legit.  I'll look for that mod this evening when I get on the computer.  Phi, when you get on, reject everything until we figure this out.

The forum doesn't have its old checkers with Stop Forum Spam, so I'll need to look for mods for that, and Vixy, if there's the option to enable that again, please do so.

The contrast is pretty harsh on the eyes. Such as the black text on blue elements, and the Legends pause menu background wallpaper being way too light for the super dark blue next to it. While the dark teal for the post backing is different than the dark blue, their value is really similar, so it struggles to stand out as much as it should. It may not be so bad if the blue separators weren't so bright. Also the links would probably stand out a bit better if they were yellow. They just feel like they're blurring with the background as it is now.

I might be able to help with the coloring if you'd like.

Otherwise, any plans to have the old one as a secondary option?

PS: It seems "hunterclassGA.gif" doesn't exist anymore.

The difference is pretty noticable though. It'll take time to get used to.

Karma system, eh? How the [tornado fang] does this work exactly? Is it like the kind of karma where users give rep to other users, or the other kind where it's mostly for mods/admins to give out.

Either way, Vixy and PB will dominate that [parasitic bomb].

Nah, just kidding. While it definitely needs a bit of tweaking, I'm glad we've finally upgraded. Glad to be on RPMX. Can't wait for RPM Zero and RPMZX... though RPM Legends should be good too when that comes around

I just wanted to have the forum work again so that we can start posting again. That was the main goal. Customization and color fixing comes second-hand. Don't worry everyone, we can fix most of the things in due time. Patience is good.

Most changes were done in index.css, and images inside images/frame and images/theme folders.

If I knew how, it would have been used already. Themes compatible with SMF 2.0.X should still be good, but most that I looked for did not even look like the one we were so accustomed to, so we have to stick with this for the time being until we can find a solution.

We found a different way to add videos now.
