Okay, giving evolution some thought, currently. While I would normally just use EXP and assign it to certain levels, what I'm trying to avoid is all the number-crunching. I'm trying to keep dice rolls at a minimum, with using them mostly for dungeon and enemy generation.
What we could do is have event flags or items that would trigger evolution. Perhaps complete a certain task and the option to evolve is provided. What're your thoughts? I want to avoid what happened with the Wushu campaign, but at the same time have some sort of play structure.
I'm leaning toward the system used for the Mana Verse, only modified to be more of a dungeon crawler.
