Well I kinda like having a job class or role or something when describing a warrior like Borock-bot being a White Mage, Zeta technically being a Dragoon, and Asch being a Monk.  I think I fit the Final Fantasy 5 version of the Magic Knight in that I give my weapons elemental attributes.

I just thought of this while I was bored at work.

Job classes are basically what your character does in an RP, such as Fighter, Mage, Bard, Monk, Rogue, Thief, Paladin, etc.  For example, I'm a black mage in FF: Hunting Grounds. 8D  I'm also a wizard in Dragon Warrior Online, and a runecaster in Conclave, and I play an alchemist in Dungeon Plungin'.

I am noticing a trend, here...

Magic is fun! 8D

I refuse to be a heal-stick, however.

Yeah I just prefer whacking people with my sword if I have to choose a class.

I haven't given a defining class for Ryuta, Atsuhi and Ittetsu, but Hajime and, to an extent, Clef are both White Mages.

Tarot Cat is all about matching tarot cards with a particular Job both within Final Fantasy and in other medias.  Some can be questionable, such as Chariot being a Freelancer instead of a Knight, but that's mostly trying to focus on their representation as tarots rather than what the Magical Drop series made them out to be.

I seem to gravitate towards ranger/rogue/thief. I do like me some magic though, lightning in particular.

If I have to use magic my preferred type is usually Ice or Wind.

Most of my spells tend to be fire or wind-based.  My Black Mage character is equal parts fire and ice, my Wizard is fire, my Runecaster is fire, and my Alchemist is wind.

Archetype would definitely be a Paladin.

Cecil is proof that he'd work out as one. What with both of them being reformed and all.

Non Final Fantasy Paladins don't know White Magic right?

Not from the non-Final Fantasy RPs I've played.

In fact, I think Paladins are little more lawfully good and preachy than what I've seen in Final Fantasy IV (To an extent).

What's the difference between a Rouge and Thief?

I think it just boils down to the game.  I've seen Rogue and Thief interchanged in various campaigns.  It's like the usage of Halfling and Hobbit.

It's always good to have a Thief/Rogue in your party.  They can disarm traps.

I don't even know what class either Josei or Akai would fall under.

Keco's a bit of a mystery too.

The difference between a Rogue and a Thief that I can think of is that a Rogue acts on their own accord without the advise or intervention of others, while a Thief does pretty much the same, only they're more prone to mugging or stealing whatever they can get their hands on.

Yeah that's true and unlock those pesky locks.

I'm pretty sure I'd be a mage/cleric/dark mage. x.x
Yeah that sounds about right, but I don't know the difference between a regular Mage and a Dark Mage.

With a magic touch? 8D
Why do I have to be so susceptible to innuendos.

Magic hands!  [eyebrow]
Even more innuendo.
