My niece asked me why she needs to learn anatomy, as she doesn't want to draw naked people and thinks that she can learn proper proportion without looking at nudes.

So, I showed her an Escher Girls pic and blew her mind.

She understands now.

So there's some stuff I want to hang and my Dad says he doesn't want me to use nails since he doesn't want holes in the wall, typical. I got to see if I can find alternatives, but I highly doubt it since some of these things are kind designed to use nails.

Heh, that brings back memories.

My elementary school used that for everything. I suppose it made sense, as having staplers around may be too dangerous for kids.

We never had Blue Tack, never even heard of it til I looked it up, I guess our school district though we were smart enough not to hurt ourselves with staples.

Truth be told, we didn't even need staples most of the time. If memory serves, they were mainly used for stage props and perhaps some of the costumes. And of course, arts & crafts, but the teachers usually handled the stapling part.

Otherwise, Blue Tack was very useful for everything else.

My mom says we'll find some alternatives on the weekend, I do understand my dad's point I was just a little miffed about not being able to get things done simply because I can't use a reasource we have.

I mean I'd understand if we lived in an aparment, but I doubt they will ever move out of the house and you can easily use something to fill the holes when I got out of the house.

Plus my mom says she wants to improve my room when I leave since she's not satisfied with how the ceiling looks.

Also got some more information about what's going on with Mom and the will, and it's a huge, confusing mess that's perfect for daytime TV. Blargh.

Once my clothes are dry, I'm going to bed. Tomorrow, I have more painting techniques to teach.
