I watched both X-Men: Days of Future Past and Godzilla.
One thing I will say about X-Men: Quicksilver stole the show! And oddly enough, he wasn't even in the film for very long. There's one particular scene that was so funny and amazing to watch, which showcased just how fast he really is.
The movie was definitely great, even without him, but that one scene just sealed the deal.
As for Godzilla, it was absolutely excellent! I have to agree with critics that the only reason to see the film is for Godzilla and Bryan Cranston. That's pretty much it.
It kinda pissed me off that Cranston was only in like 20% of the movie, at most. Especially since the trailers made him out to be a major character.
Godzilla wasn't in much of it, either, but honestly, that's a very good thing. If he was in every other scene, he wouldn't have nearly as much presence. By spacing him out, they were able to create incredibly tense moments, leading up to the awesome final battle.
So, if there's one thing I've learned from Quicksilver, Godzilla and Cranston: Too much of a good thing is bad for you.
