I find lurking is good when you are unfamiliar with a community or are in a place like 4chan.

And I'm already part of a larger community in Something Awful. But they have a different structure than we do.

Well, for now, I'm just comfortable here. Lost track of my Pokebeach account... Hehe.
Yeah I would honestly never touch a straight Pokemon Forum with a 49 and a half foot poll, for various reasons.

When I first joined, I did a bit of lurking until I became comfortable.  Most of the time, I frequent certain boards and lurk on the rest.

Phi

It may take me some time to properly settle in there. That place is so massive, it's a bit intimidating, honestly.

Yeah that's how I feel, and I honestly don't know how the reception of me being not really being into straight fan fiction or Star Wars.  I'm sure it would be find but I just don't know.

Yeah, I couldn't join a board that was centralized around something I only like some aspects of or only have a casual interest in.

Like Pokemon, or Sailor Moon, or some other series.

Phi

I'm gonna turn in. It's been a long day and I could really use some rest.

Dr. Wily II

Nah, you can live off the adrenline!

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

Admittedly what really attracted me to this forum besides my massive love of Megaman back then was the fact that the community here was pretty mature and I felt that I could learn something by participating in the forum.  Even though I was a massive n00b back then and was a bit sensitive to things, not to mention the fact that this place was my first real interaction with the internet so I didn't even know how to copy and paste, save pictures and other embarrassing things that I didn't know at the age of 14, but after a month I was able to adjust to here and haven't been to another forum since.

The reason I would never go to a Pokemon Forum is that I know that the user base would not be as mature or friendly as this one.

I got a new soap.  It is bentonite clay.

It smells like dirt.

I CLEAN MYSELF WITH DIRT.

I'm imagining you... Rolling in that crushed soap... Like a Chinchilla...

A Chinchilla?  I know this is a weird question to ask but does Singapore have wild Chinchillas that roam the towns like the Squirrels do here or are you talking like a domesticated Chinchilla you would see in a pet shop.

The only time I see Chinchillas is in Petsmart.

Can't wait until I use the charcoal soap!  Then I'll be washing with rocks! 8D

Dr. Wily II

Haha, I do mean pet Chinchillas.

Although we do have squrriels. And monkeys around reservoir areas.

Wild monkeys?

Did you have a pet Chinchilla or did you know someone who did?
Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

Dr. Wily II

Yep, wild native monkeys even. But I don't live near reservoir areas. However, have seen them when driving past, and it was even on the local news when they became too reliant on human feeding, and began to barge into homes near the reservoirs.

As for Chinchillas, it was Sesame Street many, MANY years ago that introduced them to me, and their sand baths.

Ah okay, and that sucks about the Monkeys.  They seem to be becoming the squirrels, pigeons and maybe some coyotes here that I don't really see and deer in other places.

Dr. Wily II

Oh god pigeons... Nowadays, their flocks aren't as large as they used to be, but god the poop.

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

Sakura Leic

We don't get a lot here, but in the bigger cities there's quite a few.

And then there's these guys...

Another native... But darn they poop worse than pigeons! XD

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

Sakura Leic

We get Finches here, tiny birds that don't really poop a lot as far as I know.  Used to get some Seagulls too, but I haven't noticed any and the Crows are coming back slowly, very slowly.
Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

Dr. Wily II

Crows... We have culling for them.
... If only they can cull Mynas too...

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

Sakura Leic

Yeah I don't know if we actually really cull anything here, maybe deer in the mountains but other than that I really don't think we do.  The Opossums get run over by cars easily enough unfortunately.

A friend of mine saved an opossum. It was really young and its tail was wounded. Because its tail was apparently its weak spot, he named it Ganon.
