Mainly I'm only thinking of people that just kill the [tornado fang]ing mood or are trying to be funny, yet aren't.

What the heck is a ysalamiri?

Native to the world of Myrkr, ysalamiri are sessile creatures (they're lizardlike) that have the ability to nullify the Force in a ten-meter bubble surrounding them.  Grand Admiral Thrawn used ysalamiri.  In certain portions of the reconstructed Jedi Temple, ysalamiri are used to nullify Force-users, particularly those in their psychiatric wing.

I guess, though yeah I still don't know if I want to register there yet, so far the Canderous and Cade fan fiction thread seems to really interest me if that's where you get the most crazy discussions.  I still need to see what else catches my eye.

Yep, it's a pretty friendly forum and there's a swear filter to make it family friendly.  Lots of older members, too.  Most of the fanfic writers there are married with kids of their own.

That's pretty nice, even though I probably won't read any fan fics since I honestly got bored of fan fics I would probably like the fan fiction discussion thread.  Also I notice that I haven't seen a Pokemon thread yet so I can probably whip one up for the hell of it if I do decide to join and lurk and stuff.

It'll probably be more active once we get more news about Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. 

But yeah I'm really hesitant to join since I really don't have much interest in Star Wars or reading fan fiction, I would participate in the discussions of fan fics and writing but I think I would feel awkward otherwise....

There are some people who hang out exclusively in the general forum, along with people who only write non-SW fanfics.  And with the death of the EU, many people are turning their attention to other franchises.

Well I guess that would be okay, I still need to get a bit more familiar about it.  Though I probably wouldn't read other fan fics either to be honest since I just lost interest in fan fics besides web comics.

That's pretty much what I did in the Nuzlocke forums anyway, I just didn't feel it was worth being involved there.  Instead I just watch a few Nuzlockers on Deviant Art, and even then I only interact with 2 of them since those guys are really friendly and good story writers.  Especially MunchlaxOnDaRocks, though Kit Crimson is pretty cool too.
