Yeah that's why I never use phone alarms in my opinion and have trouble setting them up.  It's just better to have a proper alarm clock, though I do also use music from my iPod on occasion but never my phone. 

Also, even though I know for a fact that I'm annoying people with talking about technology lately, the vibration of my phone sucks.  At least this gives me a reason to actually use sound but I have to make sure I actively silence my phone before class.

I have my reasons, with my alarm its that I don't want to connotate a song or whatever to waking up because then it becomes annoying.

Hey sometimes you need to make it annoying so it's easier to get up.

That has an inverse effect though.

Instead of making me want to get up, it just makes me more likely to go back to sleep in frustration.

I usually set up 3-5 alarms at 5 minute intervals, so I have backups if the first doesn't work.

Another suggestion is placing the alarm across the room. Then you have to physically get up to turn it off.

Okay I'm trying it right now, though I am having trouble with the search function I seem to like it so far.  I guess I have to be super specific instead of looking for a category.

EDIT: Actually I need to rephrase that because I had a brain fart.  I can't search for a catergory and the tracks are not specific, I see a lot of music titled Megaman X but I don't know what track until I listen to it.

Another problem I have, and this is with the phone it self, but it seems the speaker kind of sucks.

The new Galaxy, it has these little tiny bars on the back of the phone on one side that the sound comes out of.  I noticed this was the case with the previous model, the S4 as well.  I'm just kind of shocked that they didn't make a decent external speaker or vibration compared to the iPhones.  I think some of the problem is that the phone is very thin, which means some of the hardware might be lacking.

EDIT: I finally found a solution, Megaman X music wasn't loud enough but Touhou music is so therefore I needed a Touhou track.

The Faerie Festival is this weekend.  I gave my Hypno evo-hoodie a quick FeBreeze and put it away.  I intend to wear it Friday when I go (Saturday has rain in the forecast).

Not sure if I'll make a pendulum for costuming purposes or take my dowsing pendulum...
