It seems that my mom's boss has a problem with an employee a step below him bitching at him and my mom is caught in the middle of it. 

Since I'm studying Human Resources I'm just thinking that's this is completely juvenile and he should really deal with this himself instead of putting pressure on my mom to do something just to get the employee to shut up.  It literally just makes me shake my head.

sadly you will find that dealing with human resource issues is just an endless rat race of people shifting the blame and pushing your problems on to a lesser employee who in turn will receive punishment for something they have no responsibility for usually.

another major issue with the whole process is that there is a chain of command that usually needs to be followed but you will find that many steps of the latter are skipped in order to achieve a faster, if far less useful, result.

not to mention that it almost always boils down to a case of he said verses she said.

That's probably why I like the subject of HR so much, it's a huge ethical dilemma that that I have to think about carefully and effectively.

Just passed this one part in Crimson Shroud that I was stuck on. Somehow, they thought it'd be a smart idea to have you defeat enemies in a specific order to obtain a key. The game does absolutely nothing to hint or explain that you; you're just exploring a dungeon and, boom, you can't move on because all the areas are sealed off.

I was forced to seek GameFAQs for information on how to obtain the key. Other than that inconvenience, it's a really fun game.
