Nothing interesting going on lately.

Recommend me some older games. Games I can easily obtain.
Which system?

Nicely done, Quickie.

Which system?

Something emulatable.

For me that spans up to the Wii with minor difficulties. Preferably something that I could easily purchase if I liked it, whether physically or digitally.

Like Turbografx stuff is obtainable on the PS3 and Wii but its relatively expensive physically.
Neogeo same deal.

Any specific Genre? Ys V just got a translation. Front Mission: Gun Hazard is fun.

ViperAcidZX

At the top of my head at the moment, though I'm not sure if some of these are available for purchase...

-EDIT-
NES: Sweet Home (has a fan translation)
SNES: Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Star Ocean (has a fan translation), Chrono Trigger, The Ninja Warriors, Battle Clash and Metal Storm, Terranigma
Genesis: Rocket Knight Adventures, Contra: Hard Corps, Mega Man: The Wily Wars, M.U.S.H.A.
PS1: Threads of Fate, Tales of Phantasia, Ghost in the Shell, Parasite Eve, Vagrant Story, Valkyrie Profile, Elemental Gearbolt, Grandia, Klonoa
Wii: Kirby Dream Collection, Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon (thankfully it isn't redunk expensive unlike Xenoblade or MP: Trilogy), The Last Story, Klonoa (remake)
GBA: Klonoa 2

I would say Doom 64, but I'm not sure if you're interested in old FPS games. And no, Doom 64 is not another port of the first Doom game, Doom 64 is an entirely different game.

Police Girl

Specific Genres?

Well I like RPGs, Platformers, Action games, Shooting games that aren't too deep into Bullet Hell territory, and Adventure games.

Sakura Leic

Damn the Saturn version of Vampire Killer is a sweet rave party.
Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

ViperAcidZX

Any old (emulatable) computer games too?

Police Girl

Computer games are tougher because [tornado fang]ing around with DOSBox isn't fun and older games that came after DOS era computers are plagued with compatability issues.

ViperAcidZX

Okay, scratch one of the PC-98 and FM Towns games I was gonna recommend...

And I'm such an idiot for forgetting about Grandia (PS1) and Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament (GBA).

Well in the case of those I'm sure dedicated emulators exist.

I think PC-98 was one of the systems the original Popful Mail was on and I've been meaning to try that anyway.

Sakura Leic

Knee still kind of burns but less now.
Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

I better add the Wii remake of first Klonoa game to my collection ASAP before it goes really high up in price...

Sakura Leic

Nope knee burning is back, first because I applied a bit of saliva on it in hopes to soothe it only to irritate it, second I put on my pajamas and third I put on a bandage in hopes it would prevent further burning in the future nut not right now.  It isn't even the worst scrape I'd ever had but I don't quite remember the burn being this intense on a scraped knee.
Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

ViperAcidZX

I might try to get Unz, FM Towns emulator, to work to try out Genocide 2 and Splatterhouse. The only time messed around with was to play ALLTYNEX.

Oh yeah, I was thinking of bringing up Maze of Galious for the MSX although there is a freeware fan remake for PC available (I may have brought it up on the freeware games thread)...

Quickman

Curse you crochet hook.  I have the claw hand now. :|

Apply hydrogen peroxide on the wound and put pressure on it with a tissue or cotton ball. Afterwards, you can put on the bandage.

I'm still peeved we didn't get that Klonoa Heroes game.

I have that, but I never did finish it...

Wild ARMs. <3 (I only played the second game though) And Isn't Gradius V bullet hell compared to the others? And speaking of shooters, Einhänder (PS1).

Well Phantasia will have to be a hold because [tornado fang] if I'm playing the iOS version with its awkward controls and buffed difficulty.

Symphonia I have on the way.

By Final Fantasy I II III you mean the actual I II and III or I IV VI?

Beyond Oasis is a Genesis game right? I think that's in the PS3 collection I own. Wild Arms 1 I got.

Quickman

I had a freaky night last night.  I was falling asleep with Mabel beside me and my covers over my nose.  Mabel was curled up, asleep.  Soon, I felt something on the foot end of the bed and thought Mabel moved.  Then, it left.  Mabel was still where she was sleeping.  Then, I felt something sit on the bed near my head and start to pull down the covers.

I flipped my arms up and it went away.  I laid there for a minute and checked to see that Mabel was still curled up beside me.

What the actual hell.

Final Fantasy I II III. I would never suggest anything after III.
Beyond Oasis is a Genesis game.
