Sorta my own holiday tradition. On Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, I always head to San Fran to just walk around at Fisherman's Wharf. Why do I get the feeling we may have passed each other and never realized it from the way you asked that question?

I'll probably end up getting a Vita to play Ys IV. I've all but given up on a Wild Arms or Megaman game, and Castlevania seems stuck in it's Gabriel of War rut. How does it play? Does it play for like Oath in Felghana, or Ys 7?

It's built on the same system as 7's. There's an actual emphasis and in-game mention of Flash Guarding along with the addition of Flash Move (dodge at the last second to slow down enemies for a bit). Quests are always listed on a bulletin board and each town so its pretty hard to miss them like 7 and any previous game. No hidden ones like the Trails series either. The overworld is [tornado fang]ing immense, bigger than any other so far. One of the main quests and Adol's initial mission in the game is to map out the entire Great Forest of Celceta. In the process he comes across villages and familiar faces from previous versions of IV such as Duren and Karna (who take the roles of Dogi and Aisha pretty much) along with a bunch of new ones. Unlike 7, Adol can actually be taken out of the party, so there's only two characters for each attack type and he doesn't get any weapons that change his move set all together. Skills and the like aren't linked to a weapon you buy and are just magically learned from fighting a bunch of enemies close to your character's level. They also only need to be leveled 3 times to be 'mastered' instead of a tedious 10. Weapons and armour themselves come in significantly fewer tiers compared to 7. The main reason being you can reinforce equipment with minerals and other materials found throughout the game. It even lets weapons do status effects to enemies or steal a bit of health. It's kind of a hassle though since it won't allow reinforcing more than one item onto equipment at a time.

All in all, it's a fair bit of a step forward from 7 in the game play aspect. Not without its flaws though.

So I have been trying to learn the rhythm guitar and the bassline to wily stage number 2 for Mega Man 10. After listening to this song for so long I've come to realize how close the bass line and rhythm guitar parts are to Cowboys from Hell by Pantera.
