That's a shame.

They'll get bought out because nobody in their right mind would let a well-known brand name die out.

In marketing, brand recognition is a big deal.  Capcom is well-established and recognizable.  To let them go completely under would be disastrous.  Other companies with money to burn would see the potential in buying Capcom and adding their brand to their company.  This would allow that company to make more money by owning the licensing.
