I'll sometimes ram a wad of Kleenex up my nose to plug the bleeding, usually if I'm doing something that requires my hands and I can't stop to deal with a bloody nose.

Nosebleeds for me usually just happen at stupid times, or when I'm out in public.  I was in a computer lab when my nose decided to start gushing blood.

Mine vary from just bloody boogers to dripping this-will-require-more-than-one-Kleenex, if I'm lucky enough to be around Kleenex when it happens.  More often then not, I'm just holding my hand under my nose as my palm fills with blood.  Nasty!

They tend to happen in the winter, when the air is dry.
