The enhanced vita port of Danganronpa, which will have both installments of the games, plus a romance mode... is getting localized by NISA.

Except, they are just [tornado fang]ing going to release the first game only + plus its romance mode.

SDR2 is not on the list, and is either going to be released separately, or not at all (if the game bombs).

Still, an urge to get a VITA instead of a 3DS is slowly rising.

Both have now enough interesting games for me to care.

Fuuuuck.

So I got the opportunity to try out the 3DS XL at Best Buy.

And... It was actually pretty damn cool.

While the display certainly looks less "crisp" than the normal 3DS, the 3D effect was much deeper and immersive IMO. I mean, I still enjoy the normal 3DS' 3D effect, but the XL's 3D definitely pulled me in more. Plus, the "sweet spot" is less of a nuisance as the screen is so huge.

Unfortunately, there were no demos for me to try out. I would've liked to see how the games looked on the blown-up display. But the videos, while compressed, looked pretty damn good; especially Donkey Kong Country. The 3D was really intense on that.

So I was going to post this in the new users thread, but decided to take it here:

My problem with fan games, is 8-bit. It's everywhere. In the music. In the [tornado fang]ing look of the games, and even their feels.

Most of that [parasitic bomb] also remains unreleased, either due to "losing interest" or some kind of drama.

But... I really, really wish people stopped with this retarded "emulating the feel of [insert megaman game series here]" thing.
I mean, why not try doing a game with your own style of music?
Perhaps your own style of sprites?

Or heck, even using 3D Models?

And even if you want to have it 8-bit, why not make ALL sprites from scratch? I mean everything, in your own style? Even Megaman sprites.

But nooo... almost every Megaman fan game in existence now is either a copy of the NES era games, or some other copy-thing.

This is my main problem.

Ageyman at least is doing something different with the whole 8-bit thing.

My problem is no 16-bit.

Granted 8-bit is probably easier but I kind of try to ignore fan games (actually fan creations in general) just because that's not something I use the site for because of my lack of any talent.
