Possible third season of CODE GEASS - Lelouch of the Rebellion?

On December 10, the January issue of Gakken's Animedia magazine published a quote from the Sunrise anime studio's Code Geass unit for its New Year's feature, "2009 Love & Beef"*:

    All of you have shown us much appreciation and made the DVDs as well as the CDs so popular. Really, we have been blessed with fervent fans.... Thank you very much. Like we have said before, [a major character development happened] but Geass cannot die. It just ended, but we think it would be nice if we can still do something more. In any case, when we can announce something, in the not-so-distant future...

Sunrise created and animated the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion television anime series and its R2 sequel. Sunrise did not indicate the format that any hypothetical future plans might take. The Adult Swim television programming block has been running Bandai Entertainment's adaptation of the R2 sequel in North America since fall.

* 2009 will be the Year of the Ox, according to the traditional Chinese Zodiac.

Seriously? No, just no. CG is awesome, really, but the series does not need another season, as long it's a continuation that is. I wouldn't mind a little more prequel info though. I want C.C.'s real name and the origin of Geass. But I don't want to see Lelouch walk around again, he's dead and that's good.

Oh Perfect timing! I just got the 1st Box set today, I would love to see an R3 be made, Whether it be After the end of the 2nd Season or Using some Plot hole not filled in during the 2nd season. Even so, Bring on the 3rd Season! (Or a possible movie.)

If it was to wrap up the loose ends, wouldn't it make more sense to make an OVA explaining all of that stuff?
That way, the "Lelouch is alive" could be done without leaving a bad taste in the fan's mouthes (since it wouldn't even matter at that point, it would just show that it really is over)...

Greed is a god damn powerful thing, DZ. Things like this had happened to others, so this comes as no surprise to me. (And I'm supposed to be clueless about this sort of stuff about 85% of the time...)

Still, I think that an OVA would be better, if they actually want to let this be done with honorably. Sad to say that greed will taint the series if they go with the third series idea, but oh well...
