There are some they believe Sylveon might be a Bug-Type due to Sylveon's bug-like eyes (even though some of the other Eevee forms have the same kind of eyes) and the butterfly ribbons... though Sylveon's English name stems from the word "Sylvan" meaning a being that resides in the forest or spirits of the word or maybe "Sylph" which means elemental/fairies/spirits of the air.

So it's possible it's either a Flying or Bug-Type.
