So... Mixed hordes.
I'm trying to catch a Seviper at Route 8, and normal encounters have not been working. So... I tried to Horde one out using my Sweet Scent Weepinbell. I know it was mentioned that rival species will attack each other, but...

X? Well yeah Seviper doesn't appear normally so...

They really should implement some system of allowing you to catch a pokemon in a dual/triple/horde encounter. Can't aim, what bullshit that is.

X does have it appear, just more rarely than Zangoose. The opposite is for Y.

And still not working when Quick Attack gets priority. >_>

Argh. I was wrong. Seviper really does not appear in X outside of the mixed horde.

I guess I'll self-trade with my Y, or catch it from my Friend Safari, since my Y code gives out Sevipers.

That's where I got my Seviper.  Though, I'll try fishing one out of a mixed horde.  Susan also knows Hypnosis.  Maybe Hypnosis/Heal Pulse will work.

Thing is... All the Zangooses know Quick Attack, and they all attack the lone Seviper first. You need to predict, but even then, because Quick Attack has priority, it will go first before Hypnosis/Heal Pulse.

This horde encounter will be interesting once I start hunting it down.  Hopefully I have some sort of strategy by then.  Either way, I'll get a Zangoose out of the mess.

Still looking for the Heatmor/Durant horde, along with the Sudowoodo/Trevenant horde...

But really, I'm gonna start breeding these things and just open a charity. Start putting them on the GTS for like, fodder or semi-decent 'mons and make them a little easier to acquire instead of offering them for [tornado fang]ing untradable Celebis.

I'm just going around all the routes and caves to catch all those that I missed in my main run of X. Currently at Terminus Cave, Hording Arons, and if I'm really, REALLY lucky, Rock Smash a Shuckle.

I need to go get all the mons I missed.  I want to find that fabled rustling bush so I can get an Audino.  Also, Rock Smashing for Shuckles.  I also want a Noibat, but haven't gotten one, yet.

Audinos... Those buggers at Route 6... Stay close to the two rows of round bushes. After multiple Venipedes, Audino should appear.

Shuckles appear very rarely in rocks after Terminus Cave.

Noibats... I think Terminus Cave and onwards too. One trick is to walk, instead of cycling/skating to get the encounter.

For more in-depth locations... Bulbs and time traveling helps a lot.
