I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

Rin

I saw this news a day or two ago.
[spoiler]HILARIOUS![/spoiler]

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

IQ-0

Never read or watched any of the above anyway so no biggie to me.

Police Girl

Well this kinda sucks...

But I gave up on Bandai on account of them being really shitty. Everything I wanted from them I have already purchased. CG: Renya getting the can is kind of a bummer, seeing what I've read of it so far wasn't that bad.

But I digress, the world goes on, [tornado fang] you Bandai you were [parasitic bomb] anyway. I guess if we want any more DVD's of properties they own they're going to have to either license it out to companies like Funimation or the Japanese Branch will have to start adding English Subtitles to their discs (And the English dub if they find it necessary/desirable.)

Gaia

I blame the fact that Bandai had a steep competition, and a few not-so-favorable business practices. And SOPA.

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

I know you used strikethrough on it, but you can't really blame SOPA yet since it's not even passed yet (and I hope it never is). Fear of SOPA, yeah you can blame that, but you can't blame [parasitic bomb] on SOPA itself. Not unless it passes.

Ahem. This is sad, but eh.

Well, we all know it's not it's fault, and like I said, it might be out of a business practice that's not doing well, and probably is doing so so that they can re-think the U.S. branch.

I'm just trying to lighten the mood for the whole SOPA scare anyway.

I don't think this had anything to do with SOPA, Physical DVD's/BD's are completely unaffected by it.

It is, however, probably because of their shitty business practice of "Release shows in small volumes with 6/7 episodes (Less if the show is really short) to maximize profit." Which in turn just pisses the consumer off and made them not want to waste their time with Bandai. At least they aren't as bad as the Japanese branch where they will pump out 9 volumes for a 25 episode show. (Then again, its apparently common practice in Japan to release anime across 7-8 volumes. Even short shows aren't immune to this [parasitic bomb].)

Gaia

So basically, one-shots can't be burned to a single disk as a standalone? Damn they must love their boxsets. I DO have to wonder is why they were managing it from the time of Gundam Wing's DVD releases to 2012 (now).

And again, the sopa thing was a joke.

Again, we understand it was a joke but it was completely missing the point.

And its not boxsets, just [tornado fang]ing volumes upon volumes at $30 a pop for 5 episodes. Thats crap when you can get a complete series from Funimation for that price.

Gaia

... *headdesk*

Wow Bandai, just wow. 30 a pop for 5 episodes? Isin't it the SAME EXACT practice with cartoon network and their dvd releases? (only 3 EPISODES, WTF CN?! And yes, this is Cartoon Network's current business practice. It's shitty compared to when I got my full season-1 DVD set of EEnE)

That's weak when it compares to a completed series. I have a complete 4-DVD FMP Fumoffu set for that price!

I only just got Gundam 00 season 2, for like... 80$. Volumes were still 30$ each, which was hilarious.

Massive Necropost for a minor update from a few months ago.

All Bandai Entertainment releases are now Out of Print as of November.

This of course means that all licenses that were under Bandai are either in Limbo (Code Geass, Gundam) or have gone to different companies (TTGL, K-ON).

Expect the prices of the current sets to skyrocket once stock gets low (TTGL Volume 2 is $120, guess I'm not getting that anymore.  :'()
