After googling who Idea Factory was and what games they made I can safely say... never played any of their games.

Maybe this will change now.

He's free as a bird now. As a franchise manager, producer, idea man and supervisor, he can pretty much go millionaire.

Seriously, I have no idea why he didn't leave Capcom earlier. For a man who has his business sense and oportunity, he coulda been anything he wanted.

Maybe he tried getting Capcom back on course until the very end? Until his patience or goodwill ran out?

I'm honestly thinking that he stayed there so long because it was the company he helped build since the very beginning.

Yeah, I'd wager he stayed to bring them back on track given his talent and history with them, but clearly, they're hopeless. There was nothing he could do.

Pretty much. Like Acid said, he probably wanted to help it rather than leave. But, there's only so much one can take, I'm sure.

Then, like Tobonobu Itagaki before him, Infaking's departure from Capcom may end up being a good thing for the gaming community as a whole...

Personally, here and now, I'm calling it: Capcom has invoked the "Curse of the Bambino" by not allowing Inafune to make games as he likes, frustrating him to the point of him leaving them. The death of Legends 3 may of been the big wig's choice, but between the backlash from that, the groaning of people saying "another Marvel vs Capcom 3? Come on...", and news like this...

I think that Capcom is going to be hitting some dark times in the near future.

Rockman! May you and all those who stand with you throughout the ages fight for everlasting peace!

Viva la Infaking, baby!

Frankly I'd like to see them tank at this point.  They haven't made a game I wanted to play in years and from the look of things lately, they aren't going to soon.

Liara T'Soni: It is a luxury resort with an... exotic edge.  Azure is slang for a part of the asari body in some places on Illium.
Shepard: Where?
Liara: The lower reaches, near the bottom.
Shepard: I meant, "where on the asari body?"
Liara: So did I.

Wouldn't it be better if they were simply led in a better direction? Not making games you want to play doesn't mean they don't have an audience.

for now, i wonder why capcom hate him so much, maybe because he alone got the success, and they are jealous, now with him gone i fear megaman is seeing is last days...

Maybe he created Capcom? Everyone knows that things are named after people who invented them.

John Capcom. The founder of Capcom.

Sounds good. Is he that awful? He sounds like a nice guy.

I heard he's not too good with the staff.

I also hear he's prone to forgetting the release dates of key franchises.

Didn't he cancel something or other? I recall that gained negative feedback.

I think so...

I remember him being so upfront w/ the fan support or something.  I forget, I think his heart just grew 3 sizes too small.

Whats weirder was that one of the characters he made was the reason he's remembered today. The kicker is that he's been neglecting said character.

I think the character's name was Ultra Boy or something like that, he was blue... I think.
