Mega Man 9 - Back in Blue

So, I thought I'd post this here because A. It's Mega Man related, B. It's fan created, and C. It's awesome.

Over at OverClocked ReMix today, they released Mega Man 9 - Back in Blue, a remix album comprised of 18 tracks arranging just about everything on the soundtrack.

It's a pretty solid release, and if you've been craving some Mega Man 9 love (in regards to the soundtrack, at least) or just some Mega Man love in general, here this is.

Also, I've only listened to Sixto's rendition of Flash in the Dark so far (want to save most of it for when I review it), but it seems like a natural evolution of the version on the AST.

I always get everything released by OC Remix (been stalking them for yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaars) so I got this one on release as well.

Not my favourite album MISSING SOME THINGS but it's quality~ Smooth as Honey is the best track by far. I almost jumped out of my seat when it first came up but I listened to it till the end and whoa, did not expect something like that from OC Remix. Ever.
Sixto's rawkin' like usual, but sometimes I wish he does a little bit more interpretation of the songs =O It's nice to listen to but there's untapped potential~ I like the variety of sounds that made it into the album, and I was all: AHHH MORRICONE SAMPLING in track 7 and then I realised that the title of the track was 'Morricone Man'. And then I no longer felt so smart.

Also I prefer this album to the official arrange album

I was kinda dissapointed by some tracks but overall it's a nice listen. And Smooth as honey is surprisingly awesome.

I assume by the missing things, you're referring to Concrete Man and Wily Stage 4...

Well, have no fear. When OCR screws up like this, they make up for it big time!!

Hopefully we'll get some Castle of Evil mixes soon, but for now... We've got this.

Typical OCR fare. A few good tracks with a sea of shitty techno and other crap.

Seems most people aren't even interested in OCR here. Took a work week for a reply in this thread, and when Darkesword posted something about OCR prior everyone ignored it completely. Glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't like shitty techno and remixes where the original song cannot be heard anymore.
