You know I had been listenign to a lot of Street fighter  music as well as from other prominent Capcom titles. I realized these songs could actually work in a mega man game and mega man has been known for its catchy tunes. While Gaming experience is limited to most people here, why music tunes do you think would fit in a mega man game?

Blackhook

All tunes would fit if there is a fitting stage/boss

Mirby

Exactly. I mean, Aqua's using the '06 Weather Channel Storm Alert theme for his X4 Stylish run so that should say something right there.

OBJECTION MAN

Back if anyone remembers, the fan game project by Arne, Megaman 21XX, used King of Fighters track Esaka 98' version I believe for the factory stage tune. I found a lot of King of Fighters music would fit in the X series well I believe. Same with some select Project Justice tracks, though that being another Capcom game doesn't surprise me much.

The snow resort stage for Gem Fighters, again Capcom, I think would fit really well in a classic title for a snow stage.

There was another from a game, I think was called Triad? I think the track was named Rolling Thunder, but I'm not sure. I found it on VGMusic once years and years ago I think. It sounded like it would work for a great 'first of the final stages'. Perhaps a sunset approach into the fortress.

I know there are more, but it's been a while. Perhaps I'll remember in time.

Not exactly for Megaman, but I always thought The Cure made some game-like songs if you take out the lyrics :P

When I was a kid I always thought that the beginning of "why can't I be you" would fit a Sonic stage easily, and "this is a lie" sound so final fantasy...ish

Thanks to you I listened to The Cure on the way to work tonight!

Dunno what it is, but something about this makes me think Mega Man.  Possibly Mega Man X?

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

It's a Trans-Siberian Orchestra song. They are most well known for their track 'Wizards in Winter' which was used in a famous Christmas light show display. The majority of their songs are remixes of classical tracks (specifically, Christmas things) with a rock spin on them and their live concerts are ridiculously awesome.
TSO actually does have a full orchestra with band members, and the people who play for them are usually skilled musicians with previous fame/experience.

Also I'm a TSO fangirl.

I never ever thought about their music in mega man games before though. Curiously enough...it does seem to work.

Whilst we're still on TSO, I think this one (minus vocals) too:

Hypershell

The perfect "good guys under attack" music.  I very often envision what it'd be like hearing this during a battle at a Maverick Hunter base. 8)

Ilovethatsong.

I knew more people who knew 'Wizards in Winter' though, mostly because of it's online meme status. So...yeah =w=a

Sigma Zero X

Iron Maiden's "Different World" would work in a Mega Man X intro stage quite well.

Forest Law's Tekken 3 arrange theme would fit in a fight against Rafflesian in Mega Man X Command Mission.

"Well.  This is just delightful!" - Marino, from Mega Man X Command Mission

I find E Nomine's songs fit in well with the Zero saga (and possibly the X and ZX Sagas), at least in my head.

One song in particular, Schawrze Sonne 'Black Sun', makes me think of the Dark Elf. 'Das Omen' and 'Mitternacht' make wonderfully awesome battle music.

Schawrze Sonne (Has many mixes of it apparently. =/ )
