And the Junction system made a little more sense than the Materia system, if you ask me. Not to mention if you're patient enough, it allows you to create Disc One Nuke characters without too much trouble.

FF8 is pretty close to the end of my "FF titles I like"-list. I enjoyed it when it was released, but nowadays... not so much.

Especially that part where you can defeat enemies without Leveling Up, by using a Card ability against monsters, so you only gain AP. That way, you can get all the GF abilities and be a powerhouse before you even beat Disc 1. And you can also get Lionheart on the same disc too (which I've done). ^.^

Use Seifer to level up the GFs in the Dollet Mission (so the others won't gain levels), and when the GFs are all LV100, continue with the game.

Easy Mode much?

The Guardian Forces were kinda neat. Takes ya back to FFVI in a way. And it was easy to become really powerful really fast in both of those games (good and bad thing, really).

Junctioning, though, forget it. Same for Drawing. Just give me Materia back.

I did too, except it limited people from using their favorite characters if they weren't up to snuff in terms of combat.
And lemme tell ya, when you got to a Boss Battle, you found out who those people were in short order.

Meh, I still love Junctions. The ONLY system that, in my personal opinion, surpasses that one is the Jobs system employed in other FFs, such as Tactics.

And the Lionheart is easily one of SquEnix's best weapons ever, not to mention its associated Limit Break finisher.
