On Nintendo of Japan's official Virtual Console site, it confirms that the first game in the X series, Rockman X, will appear in its unedited delicious form on Wii's Virtual Console service anytime in April 2011, along with Sunsoft's Hebereke/Ufouria on March 29th (it's already out in the US and Europe tho), and SquareSoft's Chrono Trigger also showing up on April 2011. Rockman X will cost 800 Wii points and it will be a great addition in ANY Wii owner's VC collection. The game might also have a American and European release later on, hopefully sometime this year.

After so many years, it's finally here. Virtual Console is so great~ :cookie:

I would be shocked if he didn't. XD

Not Buying it.

Not because I don't like the game, but because I already own the original cartridge.

Still, cool. About time some more decent VC games started on their way. Hopefully they'll start releasing more VC games and less garbage Wiiware designed to throw your money away (Cozy Fire, Really?).

If X2 and X3 get released though, you can be sure I'll be purchasing those, since that'll save me $80+ on getting carts.

Have and love X Collection, but I wouldn't mind if X3 came along so I could have both PS1 and SNES versions (legitimately).

Aw man, I can't wait to give Capcom my money!

Again! 8D

Hypershell

I admit I consider re-buying this solely to support the franchise.  Which is basically what I did for MM1-3 on VC already. >w<

Besides, it plays better than MHX.  Lousy half-strength Spiral Charge Shots... O:<

will appear in its unedited delicious form
Might sound n00bish, but I have to ask.

What is the difference between edited and unedited?

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

I don't think I know either, but X Collection maybe?

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

Bueno Excelente

Roll's in-between leg sprites are probably unshaved in this one. 8D

Oh, I think that the X Collection used streamed audio instead of sequenced midi. When the game switches between the music samples, it stops for a second before playing the next song (similar to the Complete Works series). Maybe there are more things, like different saving options (password & memory card) and fade-in/fade-out thingies. >U<

The whole game, along with X2, was reprogrammed so it could interact with the menu selection and unlockable features in the X Collection. Remember that the games was going to have voice samples (and re-recorded voices for the PS1 X games), but Inafune said no because he wanted them to be used in the Maverick Hunter X series. ^^;

One more thing. There exist two versions of "Rockman X (J)" and "Mega Man X (U)". They are 1.0 and 1.1. 1.0 was an early build where it couldn't save your progress after you beat a stage, so you got sent to the Central Highway again. 1.1 lets you play the game without any problems. In some SNES hardware and early SNES emulators, 1.0 had this glitch where you got sent back to the intro stage, but new versions of the emulators fixed that. I even had an actual "Rockman X (J)" cartridge that had this exact problem. I sold it, and kept the newer version. ^^;

Yes, since the entire X series is just a trick being played on Megaman, that has gone too far. All of his weapons are foam and Zero is actually Roll being a tranny.
