For those curious, yes, I am still working on getting the last part done. I hope to have it finished within the next couple of days; losing out to Sigma's dumb debris attack is soul-crushing after trekking it through to him without prior damage.

Well, I
finished it, though not in the way I would have liked. I ended up having to split it between the mavericks and Sigma due to a certain move (more in the excerpt from teh video description below):
[spoiler]NOTICE:
As a note, I did in fact do the bosses and Sigma separately this time around. This wasn't my initial plan, but due to the luck needed to effectively get through Sigma's rock barrage w/o damage (more on that below), starting all over from the 8 bosses would be near impossible and would have taken far longer than this already has.
Stage Notes:
Anywho, onto the actual stage. The 8 bosses aren't any harder than they normally are, but doing them in succession takes a toll on your concentration, especially if you're trying to perfect Sigma in the same run. I caught myself making dumb mistakes on several occasions, and Storm Owl accounted for a lot of lost runs on his own.
As for Sigma, reaper's still as much of a joke as he was before, though it's slightly risky to attempt to hit him before the scythe comes out. He does attack with orbs, though if you stand right under him they don't hit you. Odd.
His 2nd form's not much harder, provided you let the scythe hit the wall and not the floor. I try to get stylish by jumping over his head, which makes the scythe hit the wall behind him. The timing for this one's extremely tight, and a mistake could have consequences ranging from being whacked in the head by a scythe, to it hitting the floor and you having to get through his harder pattern.
Now the final form is the beast here, and the reason I had to do the bosses and Sigma separately. I'm not talking about Big Gun Sigma, and I'm not talking about the heads. It's that Ugly Head that makes this so bothersome on its own. First off, despite all of the rumors floating around, I can guarantee that there is NO way to coerce him into performing the wind attack. Standing in the bottom-right corner won't do it, hovering in the top right corner won't do it, and putting X's right foot on the floor and left foot on the wire won't do it (I'm not making that last one up, either). Unless you get really lucky, you WILL see this attack and some point, and you've gotta be as ready as possible when it comes.
I will point out that though this attack is dodge-able without armor, it's not a 100% thing. Having a charge shot ready is key, and you've got to carve a path that you can get through until the sucking stops. On a good day, you can get through with a charge shot and a dash, and on a bad day one of the rocks will appear from under the screen before you can react; if this happens, you're getting hit. No exceptions. Special weapons don't make this any easier, either. The best candidate would be the Frost Tower, but it has it's own issues. First off, it's not completely impenetrable. The hitbox on the larger rocks is big enough to hit you clean through the ice, and the fact that you're being pulled to the left doesn't help matters either. Furthermore, you just destroyed the blue head, so have fun trying to jump up to the red head without touching the spikes or being pulled back before a piece of debris hits you!
That said, I'm willing to call this incarnation of Sigma the hardest in the series to do without taking damage, or hardest period, in some cases. X5's purple block attack has nothing on X4's rocks, and I don't think any other attack requires so much sheer luck to get out of unscathed. I realize that the difficulty of this fight goes down with the plasma shot and weaknesses (Ground hunter makes this so much easier), but at a base level this fight's a pain due to one move, which says lot, really.

Well, wasn't sure if I wanted to or not, but I'm gonna go through it as Zero now. So the first segment is up now! Same conditions as before, more or less:
- No damage
- No sub/heart tanks
- No boss weaknesses; special techniques are okay otherwise, and Reaper Sigma is an obvious exception.
- This run uses Hypershell's custom MMX4 PC hack, which changes Zero's voice actor to that of Lucas Gilbertson. (Thanks!)
- Custom BGM is added to the game by replacing the source files of the game. This allows custom music while still keeping the game's sounds intact.
- Black Zero FTW!
Intro StageSome songs will be changed around and some will remain the same.
