According to COCOROG, the newest issue of Coro Coro Comics is hyping readers up for a brand new Boss design contest.

Coro Coro's boss design contests have been a standard practice since the EXE series. Are they implying the coming of a fourth Shooting Star, or something new entirely?

We'll know more details in next month's issue. For now, we can only speculate.

The Great Gonzo

Something new, I hope. RNR4 sounds good, but I'm more interested in the direction Capcom would take an eighth Megaman series.

HyperSonicEXE

W...wait...what happened to the story climaxing in RnR3?

Dr. Wily II

Can I safely assume that RnR3 is the supposed end of the series?

If so...
Then, milking it already? >.>;

I hope it's for Rockman 10... Or perhaps X9...

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

ZoE2 Anubis was one of the fast-paced and cool games, and the animation was so smooth too. ^^

Pic? And oh dear god, either Capcom's taking the Sqeenix route, or something else entirely. Oh, the revival of Duel Masters! (Shobu's been out of the job for awhile now)

Good, it's been awhile since RnR2's contest. I might be the US guy to email a CoroCoro scan of Centarius Prime.  :V

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

Forget RnR4 and pause the ZOE2 like Rockman game.

Power Stone: Rockman Edition. Make it happen Capcom. XD

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

What's lazy about this if it's a quality game? -_-

Zan

Because making it SNES style won't change if it's a quality game or not, it would just be taking an inferior sprite style for the sake of nostalgia and ease of creation.

Jericho

Don't mind me, if a new X series game gets made, I'm buying. I just think that to limit oneself to one style or the other will only hurt the idea of getting a new game to begin with.

STM

One would think a PS1-era looking X9 would be better received, and that's usually the sprite design that people associate with the series.

I'd definitely love this. Then again, I'd love a Wario Land Shake level of sprite detail in my 2D Rockman as well. The possibilities are endless to make X9 amazing.

But X1-X3 are superior to the rest in any other regard.

Future tracks from X5, X6, and even MMZ were built upon the great music tracks of MMX1 and MMX2. I'd definitely like to hear that quality of musical composition again.

And I really don't want to see another X4-X6. More bland, generic, even lazier graphics, backgrounds, and tilesets.

LoL, how did this get into an X argument.

Simple. Everyone haet new retro nevermind if it's a new game. On topic, I want it to be Scramble Battle again. 8D

HyperSonicEXE

Yeah, I'd prefer it to be Scramble Battle.

...but wait, bosses made for a fighter game? Huh?

Although it used pre-existing Robot Masters, ever play the arcade Rockman games?

Honestly, I would find it interesting to see all the different versions of Rockman duke it out in one big battle royale to see just who is the best, but that's just me.  :P
