Seriously? They're making anime version of the Fate/Zero novel now? I never got a chance to read it, so I expect some things left out in the anime but I look forward to it.

Acid

This might be an opportunity for me to watch one of these type moon things from the beginning.

GuardianHX

I read the first volume and have 2-3 but I never got around to finishing them. Regardless, I'm excited to watch this. Atleast I won't spoil myself with the novels beforehand now!

DAT EVERYTHING

October can't come fast enough.

Akamaru

*Sigh*

I am so thankful the animation quality is so high. It should burn the memories of the 1st anime's quality away. This anime is so going to make me wet myself with excitement.  owo

When was the last time I poked you guys...

Phi

Looking very similar to Knk animation (yes, i know it's because of ufotable). Though i doubt it will be as vibrant or smooth as those movies. Still though, i'm easily more excited for this than i was for the UBW movie.

Saber in tux >>> every other character in TM

Phi

I was never too fond of Illya, so whatever. But it's always great to see more info on this anime.

There really needs to be more TM fans on RPM. Saber (Ben) needs to come back...

>at 1:03 is Sakura having a worm bath

Oh boy.

Well, i officially retract my statement about this not looking as good as Knk. This [parasitic bomb] looks amazing.

ufotable is not playing around.

Loving every bit of footage we get, but i can't get too excited. Just because it's not DEEN doesn't mean it's not prone to failure.

Very true, but at least there's only a possibility that it could fail unlike with DEEN where it was guaranteed from the start.

Quote from: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com.au/interest/2011-09-08/fate/zero-opening-theme-oath-sign-sung-by-lisaThe three main anime magazines are revealing on Saturday that LiSA (Angel Beats!) is performing the opening theme song "oath sign" for the Fate/Zero television anime series.

Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine is also revealing that the series will premiere on October 1 with a one-hour special.

My body will never be ready.

Phi

Wait, i'm confused. Do they mean two 30 minute episodes, or an actual hour-long episode?

No info on that yet. I would guess it's two episodes in a row however.

Oh, and it's getting a simulcast. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-09-20/aniplex-to-stream-fate/zero-worldwide-in-8-languages

And damn it all, it actually gets a GERMAN simulcast. Never thought I'd see that.

THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE MY JOY RIGHT NOW.

Screw what anybody else says, Saber goddamn owns everyone and looks magnificent in a suit.

"oath sign" confirmed for best opening of the year.

The competition must be horrible, if this "song" is the best.

In any case, I heard the first episode is yawn inducing. Should I wait until the series finishes, or should I go right now and start to watch it?

First episode is primarily exposition and character introduction. It'll get better once the Grail War actually starts, which hasn't by the end of episode 1 since there's still one Master slot open. [parasitic bomb]'s gonna get real by episode 3 at latest I'd say.

My Thoughts on Fate/Zero Episode 1 (not that you care):

  • What the [tornado fang] was up with that scene with Tokiomi and Risei circling around Kotomine? It looked [tornado fang]ing stupid.
  • Tokiomi did look pretty fabulous though.
  • Kariya is a nice guy too bad he decided to waste his life on that [classy lady].
  • Sakura taking a worm bath was very adorable. I fapped to it.
  • I wonder how long Tokiomi and Risei rehearsed that circling for? That [parasitic bomb] was perfectly choreographed.
  • Yo, how come they didn't animate my man Shinji?
  • Waver is moe.
  • Oh hey look, it's Rin. Amusing conversation with Kotomine there.
  • Speaking of Kotomine, if were him I would have felt very, very awkward having two fabulous men holding wine circlejerking me.
  • I don't care if you don't care what I say Archetype, suit Saber doesn't look all that great.
  • Seriously, what were they thinking with that circling thing?

tl;dr, manly men doing manly things with Waver being moe.

I mean c'mon, they even put Saber in a [tornado fang]ing suit. They are totally trying to man this [parasitic bomb] up.

Welcome to the fabulous future gentlemen.

Saber

I really don't get why there's so many people who're either laughing at or complaining about the whole scene with Tokiomi and Risei circling around Kotomine. I thought it was quite nicely choreographed, I liked the whole thing.

Phi

I loved every bit of this episode. People complain about OMGSOMUCHTALKING when this episode is the introduction to the Holy Grail War, granted there could have been less still scenes and more lively character movements. And the transition from Saber's summoning to the opening theme was very well done. I don't think there is any argument against this being the best anime of 2011.

Quote from: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-10-06/fate/zero-bd-box-release-to-add-cut-scenesThe November issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Newtype magazine is reporting this Saturday that the Blu-ray Disc box release of the Fate/Zero anime series will have the "original edition" of episodes with scenes cut from the television broadcast.

Well that sounds pretty cool-

Quote from: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-10-06/fate/zero-bd-box-release-to-add-cut-scenesThe Blu-ray Disc box release will be split between the two scheduled seasons of the anime; the first 13-episode season will air from October to December, and the second will start from episode #14 next April. The end of the Holy Grail War will be depicted in the anime in June.

Well, [tornado fang].

VirusChris

Aw man... they took down the video, I didn't get to see the opening!
