Werehog is hilarious for about ten minutes.

which version did you get?

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Just stopping by to say that the sound guys at Sonic Team are too damn talented. Seriously, I've been listening to the Unleashed/World Adventure soundtrack for almost a straight day. Skyscraper Scamper Day is like one of the best post Sonic CD JPN songs I've ever heard in the series.

It really is. in fact the songs are so good that it makes the stages seem bland in comparison.
also, lol, Werehog can go through walls.(if you o it right, otherwise he just goes through the floor instead.)
for 360, X,Y,Y, followed by guard. you cna use it to (especially,) explore those unused areas in the game like in Adabat or in Shamar. I tried it. its cool.

also,
lol, Dreamcast Cameo in Eggmans Egg Carrier near the end of the game.

So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

Skyscraper Scamper Day is like one of the best post Sonic CD JPN songs I've ever heard in the series.
Let me tell you, I had my PSP hooked up to my car's sound system while driving down the freeway last night. It was virtually empty and this song queued up on the playlist. Skyscraper Scamper Day + 80-90mph driving = hooooly [tornado fang], this rules! I was almost expecting a corkscrew in the road.

You too huh? XD

I was taking the train home from Manhattan over the bridge yesterday and had it on repeat the whole way through. There's nothing like a NYC skyline at about 5 - 6 PM (Gorgeous winterish sunset setting) with the train blazing home in the middle of rush hour while this plays.

[tornado fang], the song alone sounds like it'd make a good level sometimes. XD

Tokoi, Ohtani, Nanba and Kobayashi are the main four people involved with the music in this game, all of them having previous work around Sega (Kobayashi did a fair few tracks in the PSO series, while Tokoi, who absolutely loves using real jazz instruments, previously cued up Casinopolis' music in SA1.) They're a very solid music team and I'm willing to say easily that they destroy Senoue's compositions, since his SA2-Shadow work is just way too much electric guitar and little of anything else.

Also, Chun-nan Night (the hub world) is an amazing track by Tokoi. I also love all the extra parts he added to Jungle Joyride Night.

not really. I was expecting you to say the Wii/PS2 version. the Werehog is very bad there. which is funny, since most of the reviews, complained bout the werehog when reviewing the 360/PS3 version, yet they liked the Wii version, which is almost 90 percent Werehog.
360? I recently bought it myself. the Werehog isnt that fun at first, but once you level up his combat ability, whoo, does he get fun...  he gets some pretty nifty moves.

Also, yesterday i had a conversation with myself. concerning the whole deal with Dark/Light Gaia duking it out every few eons then going back under and repeating a few eons later. I was like, hmmm... so whos gonna help Chip out  for that one? Sonic would most likely be dead.
hey, it could be shadow. he doesnt age, so hell be there. he aint going nowhere... OH GOD SHADOW UNLEASHED.

I think it's safe to say that those guys are like some of my new found SEGA composers of the forever. Jun, while he'll always be a legend, just seems to have been on as you said an electric guitar binge. Diversity needs to be present in Sonic OSTs and when it's bogged down with too much of one type it kinda gives an "okay but could be awesome" vibe on the soundtrack as a whole. This reminds me, I should do a top 10 composers in video games list sometime soon.

But seriously, I haven't loved a soundtrack this much since Galaxy & Brawl and if we're talking about SEGA soundtracks, Sonic Rush.

You know, I hate when awesome inspiration strikes me and I can't work on it. I had this really great idea of mixing different voice samples from musical legends of New York (Frank Sinatra, The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, and a few more that I need to relocate from my music library) into the main Skyscraper Scamper Day theme with the appropriate amount of record scratching a la Hideki Naganuma and it's been bothering me that I don't know how I'd go about doing something like that.

I [tornado fang]ing hate this, especially since what I have in mind sounds [tornado fang] awesome listening to it in my head. XD

Within canon/officially, Shadow and probably Omega would be the only ones alive by then.

and the ending was the best part. Mainly because the stupid [lightning web] chip finally dies.

That right there almost makes me want to dust off the game and see if I can't find enough moon medals to get to the next boss stage.

Commander Shepard: *stares blankly at a video of scantily clad asari dancers* ...What kind of hotel is this?
Liara T'Soni: It is a luxury resort with an... exotic edge.  Azure is slang for a part of the asari body in some places on Illium.
Shepard: Where?
Liara: The lower reaches, near the bottom.
Shepard: I meant, "where on the asari body?"
Liara: So did I.

Technically Chip's not dead, just sleeping away for another few cycles to stop Dark Gaia once again, but hey; at least this doesn't make him another pointless permanent character in the series (Big, Cream, etc. - yes, I hate Cream).

It's a shame Chip left since I liked the best friends relationship he and Sonic had going on in the story. Come on, who didn't smirk when, while Eggman was giving his big villain speech at the entrance to Eggmanland, those two were busy taking photos of Chip mocking Eggman's statue?

It's a shame they won't make Tails be like that again. It's cool and all that he's a super-genius who loves messing with machines, but he's very flat now. He doesn't do much of anything else. Perhaps injecting that part of Chip's character in Tails will help.

That was honestly the biggest reason why Chip could get a pass from me STM. Just thinking about the dynamic they gave him and Sonic make me wonder if they were going for a hypothetical "Tails (Sonic 2) like character" reboot. This was made even more apparent if one watched Night of The Werehog which while cheesy, was actually fun cheesy due to the brazen hero/timid sidekick angle they used. It was almost like 90s cartoons, the direction Sonic should always keep. I just hope that SEGA understands that Chip is a Sonic character done right and try to make the other truly important characters (Amy, Knuckles, Metal Sonic) more reflective of the nature of the series.

I finally beat the game. jeez D. Gaia  (all his segments) is so much harder on the 360/PS3 than on the PS2/Wii... thougn for the record, i much preffered the PS2/Wii Rock’em Sock’em Robots  Dark Gaia fight. it was so satisfying. XD

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

I guess the higher difficulty is the price to pay for what many deem the better version of the game, but that's all relative to personal opinion I suppose.  :\

yeah. also, in both versions regardless, the ending confuses me. I notice that its like a repeat of the opening, Sonic landing on the ground with a collossal thud, and pulling his head out of the ground and stuff, but whats with the phantom chip lying next to him and subsequently vanishing and leaving behind that neck thing he wore?
