Is the GC version supposed to not be glitchy? I never ran into any.

i thought it was actually glitchier. somewhere i read a whole slew of glitches in DX that weren't possible in the Dreamcast version. probably a GameFAQs FAQ.

What happens in Vegas stays on Youtube. I also stream on Twitch from time to time.

So was I lucky, or did I just not try hard enough?

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

Actually, the Gaia Golem reminded me of Sockem robots.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Gaia Golem reminded me of Giant Robo for a strange minute.. just look at the face. however, there IS a Sockem robots reference in there..

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

HyperSonicEXE

Sorry to derail this thread further, but I just noticed, the blue robot is called the "Blue Bomber".

Rock 'Em Sock 'Em robots? Blue Bomber?

Carry on.

Huh. That's a bit of a pity. Well, hopefully this "new game" will give us the same vibe as the classic Sonic games...

STM

Not happening unless Naoto Ohshima is involved.

Half of those people look like Zombies, or they are just tired and don't really want to be there.

Waifu

Sweet, a new Sonic like game! I guess we will never have our Sonic the Hedgehog 4....[/sighs]  ;O;

HyperSonicEXE

COME ON, NAKA, TAKE 'EM DOWN!

I'd do it myself, except, y'know, lack of cash.
...and programming knowledge.
...and artistic ability.
...wait, staff.

Still.

Last time Naka made something to rival Sonic, we got Billy Hatcher.

You really want to play those odds?

Anything would be better than what Sonic Team has shoveled out, lately.

Oh god, Billy Hatcher.

But by 1/3 of these odds, he's probably going to revive the Gunstar series, because if the head leaves, he takes quite a low chance that he took a 1/3 of some random series that was made by SEGA.

Gunstar Heroes is owned by Treasure, not Sega, and most certainly not Sonic Team. and we already did get a subpar sequel for that anyway.

So I finally got to play Unleashed last night since the demo is now on Xbox Live (after it's release which makes so much sense) and frankly GameSpot wasn't all that far off with their review.  About 30 seconds into playing it everything fell apart.  Yes, going really blinking fast is what Sonic is all about and is fun as hell, but not when your have little to no control whether you hit a wall or not, instantly stopping that blissful feeling of speed.  And this happened more times than not.

What Sonic Unleashed delivered was what Sega has been delivering for years: very pretty graphics and a horrible mess of a game.  That's all I needed to rest assured that I never touch this game again.

Yikes, talk about one hell of a bashing. I've only played the demo myself, and i'll admit that it's not easy holding things together at such speeds, but for once I can say that dying is by my own fault rather than bullshit physics that end up with me 10 feet under. Play it a couple of times, memorize the stuff, and once you get things down you'll find it abit more enjoyable to blaze through the level, just like the old games.

.. Key focus on the word memorize. >.>;;

HyperSonicEXE

Whoa, just played the PS3 demo (I keep forgetting that these newfangled whatchajigits download demos these days :V).

What the HELL is this? This isn't Sonic. This is...I don't know WHAT this is. Like a furry F-Zero with somebody running. You can't even see where you're going, much less keep a straight line for rings. I was hoping to use the D-Pad, but nope, not that. There was one "homing jump" bridge of enemies where Sonic didn't even jump in time just to start off the chain!

The Ring Boost Gauge worked quite nicely, except for the fact that there's plenty of little trinkets which aren't even worth jack, that require you to cram down on the gauge almost the whole stage rather than use it strategically, because if you just happen to be at something other than THE maximum speed, you can forget it.

And Sonic's voice! UGH! IT'S TERRIBLE! Hasn't been this bad since Sonic CD's 1-Up.

This is unbelievably BAD. I thought Yahtzee was goofing off ripping mostly the Wolfhog segments, but NO, THE SONIC PARTS ARE BAD, TOO!

I'm so disappointed, right now. Maaan.

Nexus

Wow, double bash? Tell me, what ranks are you two getting? I got a B my first try, and an S on all subsequent runs through the level.

HyperSonicEXE

I didn't even bother finishing, I was so horrified with what I was playing.

Oh, I see what you meant by "double bash"; BigManW has experienced it, too.

No, really, this is even worse than playing Final Egg in SA1, or either of Sonic/Shadow's space levels in SA2. Sonic Heroes was more fun than this. I'd rather play ShTH than this!

Nexus

Well, it is your opinion, so I'm not entitled to try and bludgeon you for it, but I find the demo experience refreshing, at least after suffering playing though every [tornado fang]ing possible plot path imaginable for ShTH, getting 100% on Sonic Heroes, and losing 75% of my sanity with Sonic '06.  -_-
