Hmm.. does the PS3 and 360 have free-roaming overworlds..? (Because in the PS2 version, there are no free-roaming, just pre-selected areas and just Images of NPC's of that specific area, the only free-roaming area in the PS2 and Wii version is the Gaia Gate)

Indeed it does. I like the overworld's more than the alternative full menu system. It's only a shame Empire City runs a little laggy there.

I love how Eggmanland ingame reminds me of previous sonic eggman stages from the megadrive.

The Final Eggman Boss Battle was the best fight against Eggman ever! And his mech was wicked cool alongwith the badass music playing in the background, which I like to have. Truly Sonic Unleashed is one of the best 3D Sonic games up to date!

Well, he's (Eggman) has been at it for quite some time now, building his ultimate empire, since he left his old bases. In the JAP territory, he's known as Eggman. in the US, (Until Sonic Adventure) he's been called Dr. Ivo Robotnik. <-- Wich is his real name; he's called that by Sonic and co.

Sonic adventure used Robotnik and Eggman interchangedly... and he does refer to himself as "Dr. Ivo Robotnik" in Unleashed at least once, to my knowledge.
plus Robotnik land was only in the US versions. he was celled eggman the whole time in japan... which is his nickname.

I'm dissapointed. The Final Boss is not awesome o__o the 360 version looks better than the wii version of the Final Boss but still not good enough to even come close to Doomsday Zone o__o

2nded! The best part about Unleashed is Eggman Land. The feel of the design and music reminded me of Robotropolis from SatAM. It was incredible how the the mid boss in the stage gave it even more of the whole SatAM series feel to it. Now the Egg Dragoon fight felt the best out of all. ^^

That could've been the mainstay imposter for the series.. but Metal Sonic beat him to it. =/ (Mecha was closer to the origional than Metal, or Metal being his upgrade after Eggman realised his superiority to his past Sonic robots, that or he could've been a reoccuring boss rival in the X series)

Posted on: November 26, 2008, 08:09:43 PMalso, Metal sonic is the reocurring character... he appears in CD, (his introduction,) Heroes, Rivals, and even Knuckles chaotix although its true that Mecha sonic looks more like current sonic. that plus he LOOKS cooler. those boots o his are kickass. they let him do that thing Metalman did with the metalblade spurs in the ruby spears show.

naw, he got scrapped ingame. if you have all the [parasitic bomb] in the game and you beat Super Mecha, he will explode instead of falling down to angel island with the Master emerald. thats his true fate.

Sonic Unleashed is way beyond awesome! I really need to get the 360 version for the two stages I didn't get to play and the different style of fighting the final boss!

And wonder what Sonic game after the Black Knight will be. Maybe an actually Sonic Adventure 3? And no Sonic Unleashed isn't SA3.
