This is Halloween! (With Pics!)

It's that time of year again!  Or, it will be in a month.  But hey, it's never too early to start getting into the haunted Halloween spirit!  So, got any plans for Halloween?  Anyone start working in their costumes?  Anyone finished with their costumes?  Anyone even planning to wear a costume?  Got a marathon of horror movies planned?  A night of playing ZOMBIES!!! with friends?  Gonna check out local Halloween attractions?

I started my Halloween two weeks ago with the planning and building of a duck tape Xenomorph, then got into the spirit with Horrorfind Weekend 12, held in Gettysburg last weekend.  And... I have pics,  Well, Ashley has pics, as we (Ringman and I) attended it with her family.

Anyway, Halloween is a special time of year. Nobody in our area does anything special. And kids are as unoriginal as ever. So I lock the door, hoard the candy, turn the front door light off, and post a "NO CANDY GO AWAY" sign. At least, thats what I'm doing this year.

I'm a Halloween Scrooge. If I had cash I would *consider* going around dressed as Zero. But in our area I like to say there are Halloween Nazi's who think it should only be for the little ones in Elementary School. Thats why we have them parade around like idiots for their parents to see their horrendous store-bought costumes. Because in our area being older than 10 is too old for Halloween.

I just got sick of it after 4th grade, Free Candy be damned. I'd rather not have a headache caused by too much Sugar.

At least when I last did it I had a Homemade Costume, damnit! And Even better, I still have the hat! I love that thing.

What's Bruce like? down to earth?

He was cool.  He ribbed alotta the contestants, from what I was told (I was backstage waiting my turn with other contestants).  He held the baby who was dressed as a spider.  And he signed the arm of one contestant.  Though, when he pointed out to one chick that her buying a dress and then applying latex special FX makeup doesn't qualify as "home-made," she got all pissed and stormed off stage!  No one saw her come back after that.

This is the chick who got all pissy.  She tried to cover her ass, saying that she made the spine, that she sewed something, even though she had admitted prior that she bought the dress.  And the latex spine looks like it was applied at Gut+Rot's booth, as they did that kinda stuff.

There was another girl in Renn Faire get-up who tried to hog the stage and read emo-Goth poetry.  Bruce got the audience to make alotta noise and chased her off the stage!

I came up with my costume idea a bit late, so ill just go as Anime Tenchou again and work on the costume for next year.
This time, im actually going to style the hair on the wig as to make it look good.

I plan to basically, do as I do every year, throw a party and make a haunted house in the back. Costumes aren't really my thing anymore because of the limited quantities of things required to make a costume here these days.

I have a Jin Kisaragi costume in the mail. And I'm going to make a cheapo Ice Car to go with it. When I go to NYAF, I may use my Agito costume for one day.
