Necroposting with IGN blog containing some infos about the game and its development.

And also, a new video showing a little bit of gameplay. (Finally!)

It's really feels like Power Stone at 0:12. The glowing effect still looks out of place for me. An option to turn it off would be appreciated.

Now that we've seen some fights, I think it's about time they announce more characters, don't you think so?

Wow, it does feel and look like Brawl. ^^

Shell yeah! And combined with the TMNTIV arcade remake, it's all the more reason to bust out the pizzas!
And the bandannas I cut holes in when I was a kid...

HokutoNoBen

Well, it looks a bit rough, but a few months worth of dev time could possibly make all the difference.

But I do agree...now that we've seen vid footage, it's time to start announcing other characters. At least make for some easy ones, like Casey, April, Leatherhead, and a Triceraton.  8)

Late to the posting, but yeah this does look a bit too much like Smash. (Not like that's a bad thing though)

Also, the extending pole trick makes me realize that staff users are awesome. XD

Woohoo~! More info, more video, more fun!
And now we know for sure (if it hadn't been sure enough) that Shredder and April is playable.
lol at Shredder being eaten alive by a giant crocodile.

VixyNyan

I'm gonna play as April and Splinter~ ovo

I still say this game needs Usagi.  However, I'll make do with Mikey!   8)

Gaia

I wonder if anyone remembers Aska.. but that's aside the point, this game looks fun to play.

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

Protoman Blues

Hey, if Ms. Put Cha On The Line is in this game, I'd be all types of happy.  I'd love Chromedome too.  CHROME SPARK!

VixyNyan

No Turtle fan forgets Aska. ^^;

I want Usagi to be in it too. ovo

If I remember, I was watching the US version since I was way younger, like 5 (average age to watch action shows like that). Nobody forgets the turtles and their supporting cast and atagonists.. even Rocksteady and the Triceratons.

It'd be intresting to see the Triceratons make an in-game appearance though, probably BG characters.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if at least one Triceraton Warrior (prolly a generic) made it in game. The Trikes are long-running characters that have appeared in the original Mirage comics, as well as both cartoon series, and a few game appearances here and there. Peter Laird himself has a special spot for the characters. In fact, as far as original concepts go, the Trikes were actually crafted BEFORE the turtles themselves.  owob

So, all that to say, I think a Triceraton is to be expected, as well as Usagi. Usagi's been rolling with the Turtles for years now, (crossovers in his series, as well as the TMNT's own) and I couldn't imagine him missing out a thing like this. Hell, I think it's safe to presume that most people don't even know that Miyamoto Usagi is actually a character from a separate series altogether.  -u-'

While I could stand to see Aska, in the end, she was a concept (created by Konami) that was crafted for only that one game, and hasn't been seen since.

Asking for her would be like asking for such characters like Tora the Bad Ass Polar Bear (TMNT2-NES) and/or Sisyphus the Beetle (TMNT Tourney Fighters, GEN/MD). Love 'em, but only the most hardcore of the hardcore TMNT fan would remember them, and we can only be but so marketed to by these guys. 8D

Besides, if it came down to it, I like Aska, but plenty of the females that have appeared in the TMNT multiverse, like Karai, Renet the Timestress, Radical, Lotus Blossom (80s toon), or even Ninjara would be more deserving of that spot, in my eyes. Especially Renet.   *o* *o*

The Drunken Dishwasher

Speaking of Usagi, there's also an artbook that came out recently of the artist and the series altogether.  So that's a plus for anyone who wants to fall for such an amazing character.

Yep, same 2 people I'd really like to see back.

That, and Karai from the new show. They can even kinda meld Lotus Eater (from the show) and New Karai if they wanted to.

It's necroposting time.
A new vid, introducing new characters; Foot Ninja, Casey Jones, and Utrominator - an Utrom in a battle suit, which can be seen on this 'new' boxart.

Oh and Gamestop seems to list this game under its PS2 games too. Hmm...

Do what now?

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT!

Probably because they can't say that they're a total knock-off of Brawl anymore. Not that I care, the last few Ninja Turtles games have been rather disappointing when it came to quality so why should I bother with a knock-off of Brawl with TMNT characters? I love the turtles, but aside from playing as them in Brawl, for what reason should I buy this game? Turtles in Time was a [tornado fang]ing masterpiece and the 3D re-release actually seems worth it just because of the extra stuff they're adding, and at $10 or so, that seems like a better deal than Super Smash Bros. Turtle Smash-Up.

Solar

A Rabbid and Sam Fisher Rabbid as playable characters.

I'm [tornado fang]ing buying this day one now.

Also, wow, both the select screen AND the results screen scream Smash rip-off XD

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

The Drunken Dishwasher

This easily blows away those people who think the gameplay will be slow just because the recent trailers just slow-mo the gameplay stuff.
