What's up with all the awesome news regarding the Wii all of a sudden? Here's hoping for some old school Turtle fun. 8)

We're finally getting the respect we deserve? 8)

I prefer being optimistic about what we've gotten so far, but things look like they're gonna get crazy in the upcoming months.

Protodude

Two MEGATONS in one day? Wow. 2009 is sure looking like a winner

Protoman Blues

First of all, [tornado fang] YEAH!

Second of all, I really hope Mondo Gecko is a character

Third of all, I think wii can ALL agree of the necessity of this in the game!

You can't tell me that it wouldn't be [tornado fang]ing awesome to listen to that while fighting in a TMNT Brawl style fighting game!

As I said, it needs, NEEDS to be in the game.

What's this? A possibly good Ubisoft related game for the Wii (besides NMH)? Is the world ending or something?

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

Protoman Blues

Being that it's Ubisoft, I guess this means no chance of TMNT IV music being used in the game.  Ah well.  XD

The Drunken Dishwasher

....I can't wait to see footage of this game :D.

I hope fighting game is the new term for beat 'em up, otherwise this fails.

This could be REALLY GOOD.
This could be REALLY BAD.

Right off the bat, it's a 2.5D fighter. While I'm not necessarily against the idea, I'd just as soon have a 3D TMNT Beat-em-up that's as good as TMNT IV or III.

I'm still pretty supportive of anything TMNT, though, as long as it's good. Someone tell Ubisoft to put in Usagi Yojimbo and Slash!
Oh, and use the old style April, and make her...uh...shall we say...mmm...

....ah forget it, it's one of my favorite words, here...

SUBTASTIC.

If they go the Smash way, it's almost sure to be good, if the mechanics play out fine. If they choose to go with the GCN Naruto fighters way, the possibilities of being utterly brilliant or utter crap are both 50/50. If they pick just about anything else, don't even hold your breath, the game's going down the drain.

While this IS interesting, part of me REALLY wishes that it could have been Konami FINALLY making a sequel to the SNES "Tournament Fighters" game (which was definitely the best 2D fighter on the SNES that was NOT an arcade port).  ;O;

Ah well, can't have everything. If this game at least has some sort of Triceraton and Leatherhead representin', I'll probably look into it. It can't be any more off the wall than CV: Judgment was, in any case...  -u-'

"CHROME SPARK!!"

"PUT CHA ON THE LINE!"

Man, Donny was so broken in the game though!   8D

HyperSonicEXE

Yeah, but what was up with Karai?

It wasn't "Karai, daughter of Oroko Saki" (which would be awesome, btw), it was just some spinning ninja. On one foot. Weird.

Donny was good, but last I heard, officially, the top tiers in that game were like Mikey and Aska (by virtue of the fact that they had a good deal of stuff, to say the least, an actual anti-air special).

I still laugh about how the vocal effects in the US and JP versions were quite different. Why they made the Turtles sound so much more "gruff" in the US port is something that I'll never understand, especially considering that we grew up with the turtles sounding like young guys, and shouting "COWABUNGA" at the top of their lungs.

LOL, I remember that game; Mikey was absurd, and his Rising Thunder had obscene priority; and Aska's butt-butts (HEY, it's TRUE! She attacked you with HER FRICKIN' BUTT!) had a level of strength bordering on [twin slasher].

But that's why I thought Donny was the best personally.  His Fierce Attack was one of the ultimate Anti Air moves, when he twirled his staff upward.  Plus, Donny had such a variety of moves, and the "HEY" spinning head move got his special bar up so quickly if they blocked.  Don't get me wrong, I though Aska was pretty godly too ("CAN'T-A STOP!").
