Mewtwo nodded. "This cannot be an accident."
Meanwhile, in Viridian City...
Giovanni stalked into his office, glaring at anyone who dared approach him. He had a hard night, and he simply did not wish to deal with any nonsense from his agents or his grunts. Two of his most incompetant agents had the gall to contact him during a meeting with his stock broker. Something about some damn Pikachu; the two were downright obsessed with capturing some kid's Pokemon. Not even a rare creature--a damn Pikachu! How the very notion that he wanted this thing even crossed their dimwitted minds was beyond him. Whatever. It keeps them busy. Giovanni sipped his coffee as he unlocked his office door.
He had far more important things to worry about than that woefully-incompetant duo. Sitting at his desk, Giovanni booted up his computer and searched his contact lists for the scientists involved with the Mewtwo Peoject. He had already tried contacting Blaine, but was unable to locate the man. Mr. Fuji simply refused to speak to him, and even cited calling his lawyer, something that Giovanni really did not wish to become involved with. Dr. Wily was left, and after several changes of address, he had proved to be a difficult quarry to track.
Domino, Giovanni's most trusted agent, was in the process of further tracking Mewtwo, all the while putting a trace on the mysterious Obsidian fax. Giovanni sneered. He had an augmented Alakazam in his possession, and Domino planned to use it to trace the paper. The creature was enhanced to be able to learn two more abilities, and this particular Alakazam was trained in telemetry--a skill derived from Mewtwo. The project, though not as large as the cloning experiment, was only a test bed for other experiments, and should this Alakazam be able to get a lock on the origin of the Obsidian fax, it would prove to be a success.
Giovanni sipped his coffee and considered the situation. First, that dimension-hopping lunatic, then Obsidian, and then Mewtwo. Three seemingly-disparate happenings... perhaps with an underlying connection...
