[Okay I'll talk to your dumbass of a Trainer for that, he's got to make up for his screw up.]

And with that Hades detached from Jenny's shadow and headed back to Sakura.

(Another theory is that when Ash was turned to stone in the first movie, it stopped him from aging.)

Dr. Wily II stood up, and began to make his way towards the prosecution table. Staring at the one named Ash Ketchum, a very distant memory popped in his head. Slightly clutching his head, he continued walking until he found a seat just behind Giovanni. Shaking his head, he leaned forward and asked.

"So... About the contract..."

Giovanni took a sip of his coffee and half-turned in his seat. "Once we get Mewtwo back, both of you will be on the first transport to Plum Island.  I can have a Chinook carry you both, they have one with the right containment facilities.  Four armed guards on Mewtwo, plus a five-point restraint system, and a device that will tone its power down considerably for the trip."

He took another sip of his coffee. "We can discuss your compensation after the trial.  Plum Island's developed some technology for me over the years, including some nice containment devices.  Had two that would not only contain and suppress Mewtwo's power, but break its will.  Force fields, various stun levels, energy-draining capabilities...  The machines were wonderful."  He thought for a moment. "Shame they were never used.  I have the invoice for them, they were built, tested, and shipped...  Wonder what happened to those..."

"Thank you for being here, Ash. Perhaps you could start by introducing yourself. You know, the basic details: name, occupation, age, etc."

(C'mon, I have to mention his age somehow! )

Ash nodded. "Okay, my name is Ash Ketchum, I'm a Pokemon Trainer from Pallet Town, I've been training for about eight years, and I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was."

"It says here in my notes that to catch them is your real test, and to train them is your cause. Is that correct?" Phoenix asked.

[Quickman]

"That's right," Ash nodded, "I will travel across the land, searching far and wide."

Giovanni rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Get on with it."

Quickie also seemed anxious, as the sooner Ash revealed Giovanni for what he really is, the better.

"I'd hope that in your travels, you've seen each Pokemon to understand the power that's inside? Anyways, perhaps you can enlighten us on the Mount Quena incident."

Darunia paused in his glare for a second, thinking for a second. He then reached into Taylor's bag lookin' for something.

"Whatcha need, buddy?" Taylor asked.

"PAN PAN!!" he replied.

[Dr. Wily II]

(Oh god... That... Intro...)

Dr. Wily II nodded, and grinned rather widely at the word compensation, as well as the various devices that Giovanni claimed to have. Nodding, he sat back into his seat.

Inside...
Dr. Wily II jotted up, as if awakening from a very bad Nightmare. Looking around, he noticed he was in the surreal dreamscape again.

"Argh, not here again."

Walking along, he noticed the TV-flowers again, and watched what has transpired thus far.

"... Not again..."

[Quickman]

Giovanni raised an eyebrow. "Mount Quena incident?"

A few rows back, Domino slumped in her seat. "Oh no... the Mount Quena incident."  She heaved a reluctant sigh. "Well, I guess I'll be corroborating that one, too.  The kid doesn't have all the details, Giovanni doesn't remember it, and I can get files for it..." She was speaking mostly to herself as she e-mailed Slade the current situation and a request for the forgotten Mount Quena operation files.

Ash nodded to Phoenix. "Yeah, well, we kinda stumbled onto that one...  We were out in Johto and decided to check out Purity Canyon, since we were in the area.  Long story short, Team Rocket showed up, caused some unrelated trouble, and we ended up in the area that their combat unit was moving in on."  He cleared his throat. "I really only got involved when we had resumed our search for my Pikachu, which Team Rocket took--the trouble that led us there--and Domino got us captured and imprisoned us and Mewtwo's clones.  I didn't see much regarding Mewtwo, only really met up with it toward the end, there, and Meowth told me its name.  But, everything up until I actually saw it, Domino back there can tell you."

Domino reluctantly stood. "That's correct.  I am in the process of obtaining those records right now.  It'll be a bit until I have them."

Ash nodded and continued. "So, yeah, when I actually saw Mewtwo, Giovanni had it trussed up in these machines that were torturing it.  I dunno how long it was up there, but Meowth and my Pikachu said for a long time.  They watched it submit to Giovanni, and Meowth said that it did it because Giovanni threatened to hurt its clones."

Domino cut in again. "I can confirm that, as well."

Giovanni, however, was confused. "What in blazes are you two even talking about?!  I remember no such incident!"

[Mirby]

"Now now, just because you don't remember it doesn't mean it didn't happen. It's obvious from this detail regarding the Mount Quena incident and the incident on that nearby Route that when the clones are involved, Mewtwo becomes incredibly protective, as a mother protecting her young," Phoenix mused aloud before turning towards the audience. "Miss Domino, how long do you think it'll take before you get those files regarding this vital evidence?"

Darunia kept digging in Taylor's bag for something.

[Quickman]

Domino checked her smartphone. "My contact said that he's sending them, and it'll be a few more minutes.  The files were classified."

Giovanni was fuming. "Whoever this contact is, he's finished!  You both are finished!  History!  I'll see to it that you can never work in this region again!"

Domino winced a bit, but ignored it, muttering under her breath. "I'm doing this for your own good, you foolish bastard..."

Ash was still surprised by Domino's turncoat attitude, but nevertheless welcomed it. "Yeah, I don't even know what the machines were.  No cutoff switch, we couldn't damage them, and it took Mewtwo's own power, plus Pikachu's Thunderbolt to finally destroy them.  Afterward, if I hadn't gotten Mewtwo to Purity Spring, it wouldn't have made it."

(I am going to sleep!  I'm passing out, here!)

[Mirby]

"So what you're saying is that Giovanni was willing to destroy Mewtwo for his own plans? An ends justify the means type deal?" Phoenix asked.

[White-Jet]

With WilyII off the stand, Merrick quickly became distracted by the sudden change in his demeanor.

The evil side of him has been reawakened.

He should be keeping watch of what the two manipulating Pokemon were doing, but something about the evil WilyII's behavior has him worried.  He decides to abandon his post and slip back into the courtroom, locating WilyII's darkened aura and slipping under his lab coat to cling onto his back, face-down, and take another glance at what energy was obstructing his conscience.

He seemed to have retained his High Priestess energy, but another energy was obstructing his attempts to stay physically aware; a spinning wheel looming over his head and blocking any means of him fighting back his evil persona.

Merrick decides not to intervene, worried the process might startle the body and draw the courts attention, consequently getting Tarot Skitty into trouble and lumping it with Mewtwo in wrongful accusations and assumptions.


Hierophant continued to overhear what the two Pokemon were trying to do, but was lost as to whether he should intervene before the rest of the court catches on, or Giovanni starts to blame Mewtwo for the mishaps.  He didn't want to get up and step outside, worried he might expose Sakura, N, and Sapph and mislead the court into thinking they were in on whatever shenanigans they think Mewtwo is the sole cause of, but at the same time he knew Giovanni wasn't blind and stupid and would eventually catch on to the odd phenomenon happening to him and those on his side.

His only choice was to stay still and keep a spiritual watch on the goings on between the two Pokemon while contemplating how best to step in and make sure they don't cause too much trouble for Mewtwo and those defending his humanly side.

[Quickman]

"So what you're saying is that Giovanni was willing to destroy Mewtwo for his own plans? An ends justify the means type deal?" Phoenix asked.

Ash nodded.  "Yeah.  I mean, when we intervened, he and Domino came up to stop us.  Told us that only he will decide if Mewtwo survives, or not."  He nodded out to Domino. "Like I said, Domino has more details.  I only met Mewtwo toward the end, there, while hearing about the rest of it from Meowth, so he'll have more information, too."

"Look, they want my reasons for why I want to destroy that beast, they'll get my reasons.  I didn't expect Mewtwo to be so damn powerful and so vicious.  I wanted a powerful Pokemon, yes, and I did enhance it to make it more aggressive.  Aggressiveness is good in battle."

He paused for a moment. "But, I didn't expect it to be so massively powerful.  I've gone to great lengths to try and find ways to contain its power, to contain itself, to stop it by any means necessary, and I'll have you know that that boy there and his friends have stopped my agents.  He doesn't realize that I'm trying to save the world."

He took another sip of his coffee. "If we let Mewtwo go unchecked, the world will only perish."

[Dr. Wily II]

Payne rubbed his chin at the latest information from Giovanni. He then interjected.

"Mr. Ketchum. I think you have a severe case of Protaganist Syndrome. Just because it seemed like my cilent wanted to off his creation, you assumed him to be evil. However, if one thinks about this, Mewtwo is extremely powerful. A power that my cilent had unintentionally released with the injection of steroids. And that power KILLED many people already. And who knows how many more could have been KILLED. My cilent was only trying to keep Mewtwo in check. For the WORLD!!"

[Quickman]

Ash gulped. "Mewtwo only acted out because it was being mistreated!  It talked to me on Mount Quena and it didn't seem so dangerous to me.  Powerful, sure!  But, dangerous?"  He shook his head. "I don't believe it for a second."

Misty, in her seat, nodded. "A bit misunderstood, too."

Domino, however, declined to comment, as she was organizing the files that she received.  After a few moments, she put them in some recognizable order, then walked up to speak with the tech she spoke with prior. "Here's the files.  That's everything related to the Mount Quena incident that I could dig up.  Since Mewtwo wiped our memories, it wasn't completed, so the records only go up to a certain point in the operation."

[Dr. Wily II]

Payne shook his head.

"How are you certain what Mewtwo told you back then was the truth? It's a powerful Psychic Pokemon, it could... No. It MUST have planted the idea... The idea that it wasn't dangerous into your head. Psychic Pokemon are notorious for Poke-ception."

[Quickman]

"At the time, it was too weak to do much else," Ash shook his head.  "Mewtwo couldn't get to the spring on its own, and no offense to it, but dragging 269 lbs of dead weight wasn't easy!"  He shrugged. "Really, if its telepathy sounded weak, then I'd say it was really weak."

[Mirby]

"HOLD IT! Regarding your earlier claim that your client's actions were for the good of the planet, how many people have done what they did claiming it was for just that? Team Aqua and Team Magma in Hoenn claimed their actions were to help Pokemon, but instead they almost destroyed the entire ecosystem of an entire region. Unova's Team Plasma tried to separate Trainers from their Pokemon claiming it was for the happiness of the Pokemon, but in reality its leader Ghetsis was having their members steal Pokemon, forcibly severing the bond between Trainer and Pokemon. His ultimate reason for it was so he'd be the only one with Pokemon while others would not, allowing him to rule the world unimpeded. Even worse, he manipulated his own son for these goals... Many times in the past, there are those who have claimed that their goals were for the good of the world, when in reality their goals were purely to serve their own dark desires!

If Mewtwo was truly evil, truly dangerous and unstoppable, a murderous beast with no regard for life... He wouldn't have calmly answered those questions. He wouldn't be sitting in the audience, letting the wardens keep him contained. He'd have already killed us all, and yet... he hasn't... Strange for someone your client claims needs to be stopped. In addition, your client hardly holds the authority to take one life thinking it will save more; the death penalty may only be chosen as punishment by the courts, not by civilians.

As for the claim that Giovanni administered those steroids without knowing what they did, the evidence has already shown that the facts are quite the contrary. As Miss Domino stated earlier, he knew the side effects. He knew what the steroids did, and he determined the dosage. The claim you have just made has already been refuted by evidence that was already presented!" Phoenix stated.

(GAH! Y'all ninja'd my awesome response!)

[Dr. Wily II]

Payne tapped on his forehead.

"Mr. Wright. You keep forgetting one important point. Mewtwo is a Psychic Pokemon. It can easily manipulate minds to his liking. Who knows? Maybe it IS rampaging throughout the courtroom at this VERY moment, however, with his psychic prowess, he can EASILY erase that memory from our minds."

[Mirby]

"Mr. Payne, you yourself said that this court relies on facts, and yet you keep resorting to wild accusations that have no basis in, well, facts. If Mewtwo were rampaging through the courtroom right now, his powerful psychic powers would probably have killed us by now. And then we wouldn't be able to imagine anything, not even this!"

[Dr. Wily II]

Payne shook his head.

"And you have yet to show any evidence that disproves my "assumations"!! Do you have any more questions for the witness? If not, I think I should finally provide a witness of my own for a cross-examination."

[Mirby]

"If Mewtwo is truly manipulating our minds, there is literally no evidence to disprove he is doing that. If he were to use his power for the reasons you claim he is, then there is no point in holding a trial as literally every single piece of evidence would be a product of his tampering. However, Mewtwo isn't doing any of that! He isn't on a rampage in the court, he isn't manipulating everyone, he isn't doing any of the evil things you claim he is doing! Mewtwo, unlike you apparently, has a conscience, and regrets his past mistakes. Why else would he have agreed to the tests and the trial?"

[Dr. Wily II]

(Oh god. How did I let pass that previous post of mine? )

Payne patted on his forehead again.

"A sob act. You should peronally know this yourself."

[Mirby]

"Enough with the accusations and assumptions, Mr. Payne. Leave those to me; at least mine tend to lead to the truth!" Phoenix exclaimed proudly before realizing he had somewhat insulted himself.

[Quickman]

Ash watched the back-and-forth bickering for a while. This is going well... he mused ruefully.

Meanwhile, Domino had finished transferring her files. "They're ready to go.  They include not only the Mount Quena operation up until the memory wipe, but--"

"Memory wipe?!" Giovanni interrupted.  "You mean to tell me that that beast wiped my memories?!"

Quickie, at the defense, sank in her seat. "This won't look good..."

Even Mewtwo was regretting that action, as he apparently didn't account for the power of a good hypnotherapist in Domino's case, or Giovanni even finding out that his memory was tampered with.  Note to self: Think things through a bit more...
