I literally just signed up for GoG.

HOLY [tornado fang] FREE TYRIAN 2000

I just bought the Thief collection. For six bucks I get to wash the taste of the reboot out of my mouth.

Wii U/3DS updates for the US this week are (obviously) Shovel knight, and apparently Castlevania 3 but since its the mediocre US version its not really worth it.

Steam Summer Sale is nearly over. I finished up my haul.

Picked up The Witcher and The Witcher 2 (They were gifts from a friend), as well as Cloudbuilt (Looks like a neat speed-based game), Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae (It's like a Japanese b-movie in game form), Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and Borderlands 2 (And a few costume DLC that I picked up because trading cards).
I mostly just mined trading cards and CS:GO skins/cases to sell to pick up most of this stuff. The only things I really spent money on are CTHCC and Desu Ex.

All-in-all good haul.

Mediocre in what sense? The slightly less impressive music? The harder difficulty?

I actually prefer the difficulty, so works for me I guess.

Well you know, that's cool and all. Different tastes and all. I personally prefer less difficulty if possible.

I'm with Fxeni on this one.

Sure, it's frustrating, but it's incredibly satisfying when you do eventually complete it.

Club Nintendo rewards for the month:

Metal Torrent (3DS): 200 Coins
Donkey Kong Jr (Wii U): 200 Coins (Lolnope, waste of coins)
3D Classics Kid Icarus: 200 Coins
Paper Mario (Wii/Wii U): 250 Coins (Its been there before but its a good value for those who haven't gotten it.)

Pokemon TCG hit in Europe. I have no [tornado fang]ing idea why. I imagine we'll have that eventually as well.

Still a bunch of games slated for the Wii U that haven't hit yet. N64 games are still a no show and knowing Nintendo I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see them for a long while, and since nothing's been said about non-Nintendo consoles (at least in the US, Japan has PC Engine and MSX now.) I think its safe to assume there's no plans at the moment.

I hope the platinum reward on Club Nintendo is worthwhile, because all the other physical rewards are [parasitic bomb]. Even more now since they stopped manufacturing posters.

The digital stuff is fine, on occasion.

Club Nintendo Platinum/Gold Rewards are up.

So... no physical rewards this year.

Instead, lets just toss a lot of games up, some of them retail!

List is as follows for Wii U:

Game & Wario (Plat only)
NES Remix (Plat only)
Earthbound (Plat only)
Dr. Luigi (Plat only)
Ice Climber (Plat/Gold)
Kid Icarus (Plat/Gold)
Super Mario Bros. (Plat/Gold)
Zelda 2 (Plat/Gold)

3DS:

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (Plat Only)
Fluidity: Spin Cycle (Plat only) (A lot of people are saying avoid this one so i dunno)
Dillon's Rolling Western (Plat only)
Mario & Donkey Kong: Mini's on the Move (Plat only)
Donkey Kong 3 (Plat/Gold)
Wario Land 2 (Plat/Gold)
Metroid (Plat/gold)
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (Plat/gold)

So, yeah. I'd get DKCR3D easily if I could get a retail copy shipped to me. But I think I'll stick with Dr. Luigi. VC selection... it sucks save for Earthbound and Wario Land 2, but Game & Wario is a good value at free.

Nice to know I wasted my [tornado fang]ing time for digital rewards.

I'll just get Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D a.k.a. the inferior port, and be done with it.

I'm never doing this again.

That's a really negative way to go about it.

Why not just be happy you're getting a free game?

Because I much prefer an exclusive physical Club Nintendo reward, like they've been doing for years, as opposed to something I can easily get elsewhere; and I don't like getting digital games, especially if there is an option for physical.

I missed out on the Mario/Luigi/Bowser statue and Luigi's Mansion statue, so you can imagine my frustration with just getting a digital title this year.

Yeah I sure love getting junk I never do anything with too.

Megaman 5 & 6 along with Battle Network 1 are set for the European eShop this week.

NOA has said nothing, if course.

Humble Squeenix bundle starts today.

Holy [parasitic bomb] did they pick some of the worst [tornado fang]ing games to add to this list.

You get:
Thief Gold
Daikatana (Ugh)
Mini Ninjas
Anachronox
Hitman
Hitman 2

Go above the average (7.79 as of now):
Deus Ex: Invisible War (Ugh)
Deus Ex: The Fall
Hitman Absolution
Nosgoth Veteran Pack (What?)
Battlestations: Midway (Huh?)
Promise of more games

Pay $15 to get:
Deus Ex: Human Revolution DC
Just Cause 2
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
Deus Ex: GOTY Edition
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days (Why did they feel this needed to be included)

So basically, its really a Humble Eidos bundle. I don't care if Eidos is owned by Squeenix now, that's false advertising.

Also, its only for steam so $1 minimum.

Its a better deal than the Humble Origin Bundle by far, but the questionable inclusion of known [parasitic bomb] like Kane & Lynch (in the $15 tier no less!) and Daikatana is a bit shitty.

Yeah I was not interested in any of this at all.

Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection
