Arc System Works is in teaser countdown mode. Visit the company's homepage http://www.arcsystemworks.jp/ , and you'll be greeted with this starter screen:

Check your clock, and (assuming you're on Japan time) there are indeed 10 days left until July 23. What surprise awaits from the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue publisher?

What are your bets, ladies and germs? More on that "Hard Corps" we saw a month or so ago? Possibly confirmation on that 360/PS3 Guilty Gear title that Ishiwatari teased about months ago? Stay tuned~! 8D

It more than likely wouldn't be an Accent Core follow-up. Not with BlazBlue doing good enough for ASW in the arcades and console market, and Ishiwatari wanting to do more relating to his "Overture" experiment...

It's probably an official reveal of Valkenhyne and Trinity. Either that or the new Hard Corps. Something tells me it's too soon for more GG.

My Mom doesn't.  She really wants nothing.  She's.........content.

It's a concept I just don't understand, being that I want SO much.

It better damn well be a new Guilty Gear. I'm getting pretty sick of Mori milking that Yu-Gi-Oh [parasitic bomb] of his while Ishiwatari is stuck in the backseat wasting perfectly good compositions for worthless animu characters.

And what is different about Guilty Gear from BlazBlue that makes it not anime crap? We get it, you're a GG fanboy. But either get some constructive criticism, or shut it.

You know, they probably could troll us a give us a another Family Event game for the WiiWare. From Family Table Tennis to Family Kart Racing. All mediocre.

And you know what? You probably are right. Here's the basic consensus of what most of the logical part of the internet thinks about this ASW announcement

Top Tier:

Guilty Gear 3: Moar Overture
Sengoku BASARA XX
Hard Corps (we already know it exists, this would just be the standard announcement)

Mid Tier:

Another Kunio-kun/River City-related release (of course, NOT being the River City Ransom sequel that we ALL want it to be)

[parasitic bomb] Tier:

Bass Fishing
Family Wii game

But basically, nobody is getting amped on the idea of HD Guilty Gear beyond the notion of another Overture style game. That's the MOST we stand to get from Ishiwatari at this point.

Another Overture style game is probably possible.

There was one recent interview from animenewsnetwork.com w/ Ishiwatari and Mori.  Later on, Ishi-san has said that despite being busy w/ some number of projects, he plans to conclude the GG series.

i'll find the interview.

edit:
here it is.

around the middle of the interview you'll find what I sort of said.

Conclude... So he plans to end it? Hmm. Mr. YuGiOh will be disappointed.

All great things must come to an end sometime. I am actually quite excited to see how Ishiwatari will wrap things up. If it's anything like the conclusion to GG1, then manly tears shall be shed.

Speaking of which; I saw XX Reload's ending, about THE MAN and him being mysterious and such ordering I-no around. Did Overture actually touch on that at all? Honestly didn't like the gameplay at all, so I never bothered. Or anything after XX Reload for that matter. I mean, I played Judgment and Accent Core Plus, but Judgment was a side story, and I never bothered with story mode in Accent Core Plus.

Goddammit, it has nothing to do with Guilty Gear. :|
It's just an announcement that Arc System Works is helping Examu port Arcana Heart 3 to the 360/PS3. That's nice of them to do that, but... WHY THE [tornado fang] COULDN'T THEY PORT DAEMON BRIDE INSTEAD?!?! I-I've wanted this game for so long... ;O;

AH2 port is nothing compared to the travesty that is letting Daemon Bride fade into obscurity.
