Ugh, this all sounds fun, but I haven't even played my Wii in months. It'd take awhile to readjust to my Sonic and Ike preferences. Still, I wonder just how well I'd fare against you guys...

I haven't plated too much Brawl online or not but I have seen some people who can be annoying when they're playing and I'm watching.

Ness and Lucas/these 2 guys who were at the last Brawl tournament in my Games, Puzzles, etc club.  

Don't worry we don't play Brawl non stop at the club and every other week we play board games though so far the videogames we did play so far were only Brawl and Naruto fighters games so I bring my handhelds like Pokemon, Kirby, and Chrono Trigger.

Yoshi is one of my favorite characters in the Mario Universe and I keep on getting smash by him. Very traumatizing... getting beaten by your favorite green dinosaur.

I understand getting hit once or twice. Sometimes its just not avoidable. But nearly 10 or 12 times per match...!?!? I never account for the reverse part of the punch, so I nearly always get hit! Buts its impossible with Jericho...

Just because it's impossible to get close enough to do anything to him. Projectile-no-jutsu + Falco's weird cancel momentum moves = RAGE for some like me who needs his movement. Also Green Greens & more importantly "TRY HARDER". I lost it when I saw that taunt.

People get the wrong idea that Falco is only useful by reflecting items, but it can trip somebody (great to do a smash on). "Try harder is one of my better taunts...

Also, you need to jump back online for one-on-ones again, because I don't think I've experienced the full horrors of your Snake.

I'll think about it. I've largely disowned the Wii due to Sonic Unleashed and Tales of Vesperia. It's not been on WiiConnect24 for about two weeks now since there was a brown out and I've not cared enough to turn it on. Also, I doubt I play Snake better than Lou since I just use him to mess around and can't do that long distance "wave dash up+a". I'm a bit better with Marth since I largely adapted how I played with Roy to him. He's still no Roy, but eh... you got to roll with what you got.

Also, to answer your question, yes, I am much more annoying with Sonic offline since lag doesn't play much of an issue. I've learned to do this stupidly erratic style of offense and defense that seems to annoy people after a while.

You could never be my brother though. Poor guy gets some of my most devious setups mid game. For example, taking a reversed Warlock Punch in midair, because his Gale Boomerang pulled me into him.

Still, he manages to get the better of me 20% of the time with his stupidly childish ways when we play each other.

Also, I'm gonna late add Ephidel/Pikachu due to sheer WTFhax we had during our matches. I never hated Pikachu in any game Pokemon or Smash until today.

I wouldn't say I've gotten better as much as I've been at that method for a while now. It won't win me tournaments, no, but it does win me matches on occasion. The only problem is that I need to try and adapt it to the input lag, which can be anywhere from .1 seconds to .6 seconds on a good day. With the way I attack and fight as him, timing is extremely critical... I'm talking 2D fighting game frame timing animation (where most people try to pull off a certain move during certain frames of a character's move animation... think Sol in Guilty Gear.) critical. It's much harder to pull off online and I'm largely at the mercy of the lag.

This is all incredibly true. At first, I thought I was developing a tourney-goer (being nice here) eye for details but when you have to change styles so quickly in an online match, differences in timing can do all the more to aggravate someone. Also, as someone who usually has a keen eye for spacing due to Marth's "tippers", I'm sure most of you have noticed that I play a heavily improvised game online.

Also, how the hell did I forget to nominate Sky's Luigi? That girl is a monster with him!

As for Ciel's Pikachu, I don't think I've ever faced off against it. HyperSonic's Pikachu however... [parasitic bomb] is just broken. Same with his Falco. (Not really, but dammit, those matches today left a bad taste of defeat in my mouth. )

and they're entitled to it. spammers are the scourge of the universe. they take ALL the fun out of the game.

hahaha... thats what sonic is for. plus I suck at brawl, so it actually levels it out believe it or not. my friends own it, while I dont have a wii. so they use their Link and  Zelda and Metaknight, I use sonic. I lose anyway.

An awesome method for most characters, but Pit, Meta Knight, Snake, Charizard, and I think anyone with a range attack and a good jump will likely stop you immediately in your tracks. A good flier will just go, "[tornado fang] this [parasitic bomb]." and take the fight right to you.

Spammers are easy to deal with. Annoying at first until you break apart their timing. This is a useful skill against Ike players, though there's no helping skillful spamming of Counter.

No No, I wasn't talking about you.  A former friend of Lou's and Mine used Marth in Melee, and HE was a counter whore, as well as abused Marth's Forward Smash so much that it ruined the yellow rubber on the C-Stick.
