Needs a little more "Action" to get me psyched. :P

Flame

Still, it's looking good so far.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

It had Supes being thrown into a safe and a city being destroyed. This trailer has more action than pretty much every live-action Super movie ever! XD

Donner Cut of Superman II nonwithstanding. Supes crashing into the State of Liberty = Pure win to me ;)

Heh, you're talking to the wrong fan. I actually do not like those movies at all, which is why I'm looking forward to this one. It's NOT based on those.

Pyro

Call me cautiously optimistic after getting burned by Superman Returns. My problem with this trailer that it takes too long to get to the juicy part and focused on "tormented" Supes  too much to my liking. I guess that you need that inner conflict to build character but the trailer just did not scream "Superman" until I saw the explosions and Superman on fire. It really needed a better hook.

Tormented is a reaaaally harsh word to use towards the opening of the trailer. It has young Clark dealing with his powers and asking questions. No different than most Supes stories. Even the Animated Series did it. Also, Superman Returns problem was that it followed the original movies. And for a movie that did, it actually wound up being a decent movie. Juuust not a decent Superman movie.

Pyro

Well, I would probably be singing a different tune with they opened with Supes getting punched into that safe and then transitioned to where the trailer started with young Clark. That being said, I know there will be a decent, if not epic, fight since Zod is the villain. However, that leaves me asking one question, when will it be Brainiac's time?  O^O

I think if this movie does well, we'll see Brainiac in the next one.

Pyro

Let us hope, and maybe it might mean the start of the DC cinematic universe.

We'll see. The problem is that the need to branch out. Sadly, Green Lantern showed the danger of doing that.

Pyro

Green wha? Never heard of it. Wait. That film that must not be named?

Well, it would be nice for Warner Bros./DC to stop dragging their feet on Wonder Woman. Flash could work as a film. Aquaman has some serious potential because of the sibling rivalry with Ocean Master for the throne of Atlantis. Hell, I think it would be cool if they could work Oliver Queen from "Arrow" in.

Any character can work as a film if done correctly and written well.

Sounds like GlaDOS  8D

I mean, you KNOW DC/Warner has gotta be trying to do whatever they can to eventually get a piece of the Avengers Movie Continuity pie.

I really like the musical piece for the trailer. Some people say it's not Superman enough, because they are used to the kinds of themes from the Reeve movies and Animated Series. But personally, I think it works REALLY well. Leave the bold themes to the Nolan Batman. Supes with a more softer "deep" theme actually works really damn well.

On Returns: it had potential, but the problem was the villain. Luthor was just plain overdone. He's been an enemy in the movies, and an ever present enemy in the cartoons. They needed something fresh, and they didn't deliver. (Although Superman lifting the Kryptonite island out of the ocean was pretty cool)

Routh bears an uncanny resemblance to Christopher Reeve, so he was a great superman, and Spacey is awesome as Luthor, (WROOOOOONG!) Lois I didnt like- It just felt like it tried too hard to be this character drama first and a Superman movie second, what with the kid, and with the "we dont need superman" thing... And it followed the Reeve continuity, which while a novel idea, leaves most things explored already.

I believe Zimmer is doing the soundtrack. The man is a genius!

Blunt the knives, bend the forks,

Mash the bottles and burn the corks,

Chip the glasses and crack the plaaaaates,

Cut the cloth, tread on the fat,

Leave the bones on the bedroom mat,

Pour the milk on the pantry floooooooor,

SPLASH THE WINE ON EVERY DOOR!
