The Drunken Dishwasher

Just recently saw the film, Amelie.

Very good film, w/ a nice sense of humor as well~ I reccomend it to the RPMers here~

Flok

Rewatched all of the Terminator movies in order to get prepared for Salvation this year.
Flok's favorites:

The Drunken Dishwasher

3 movies, i'll give one comment and one quote 8D

1st: RE:Degeneration = SWEEEEET~   "My fee is just too good.  Damn good" - Leon (from the blooperish extra)
2nd: Pan's Labyrinth = AWESOME~  "No, he won't even know your name."
3rd: Tekkonkinkreet = AWESOME~  "Be happy, happy" - White.

I reccomend all of them

Crimson Lightning

if anyone here likes Kung-Fu movies i recommend Forbidden Kingdom or my favorite classic Kung-Fu
ENTER THE DRAGON STARRING BRUCE LEE JOHN SAXON AND FEATURING INTERNATIONAL MIDDLE WEIGHT KARATE CHAMPION OF 1971, JIM KELLY 8D 8)

Asvel

I saw Valkyrie today. It was okay. Not edge-of-your-seat actiony, but not dull. Tom Cruise was alright and wasn't too full of himself.

The week before, I saw Milk. And I swear to you I have never cried that much in a theater before. It was absolutely amazing. Sean Penn had every mannerism down. It even had funny moments. I didn't want it to end, but unfortunately with historical movies you know it will and how it will. I think that's why I'm so "eh" about Valkyrie, because I had my bar set too high after seeing Milk.

She loves the night and all that glitters
Her name in lights across the city
Don't you mess your life up Sunday girl

Saw The Spirit on New Years Eve.  Loved it, great way to spend New Years Eve, rather than freezing my bum off out in some block party in Gettysburg.  Gettysburg's block parties aren't that great.  The music is usually local flavour and it usually sucks ass.  And it's usually bitter cold with a biting wind.  Thank god I had my giant Tom Baker scarf, it kept me warm through that wind tunnel in front of the cinema.

Anywho, back to the movie.  Loved it, it made me laugh and Frank Miller did a good job of keeping to the classic cheesiness of pre-Golden Age comics.  He didn't sex it up like we feared and he kept the visuals from looking too much like a Sin City clone.  The time frame was a lil wonky, more akin to the BtAS time frame (classic 40s cars, present-day tech).  The effects were nice and the movie was a good action romp.  Overall, I liked it alot.

The Drunken Dishwasher

Glad to see Quickie liked it!

Samuel L. Jackson did awesome didn't he? 8D

Quickman

Indeed he did!  He was really enjoying himself in that movie, that's for sure.

The Drunken Dishwasher

Exactly! I felt the joy every single time the Octopus comes along.  Haha, I love that one part when he was wearing the Samurai gi, oh man that was great.  And that speech when wearing the Nazi uniform XDDDD

Just finished watching the Thunderbirds movie.  Not the live-action one, the old puppet one.  Cheesey awesome and filmed in SuperMarionation!  'Cept our DVD is a UK DVD and wouldn't play in the Xbox, so we hadta watch it on my brother's computer.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Shiki Tohno

Just saw Tropic Thunder a few days ago.

"I'M A DUDE PLAYIN' A DUDE DISGUISED AS 'NOTHER DUDE! YOU A DUDE THAT DON'T KNOW WHAT DUDE HE IS!!!"

...and

"WHO THE CRIKEY [tornado fang] IS HALFSQUAT?!"

...are the two most legendary lines in the entire movie. Plus, having Sandusky kiss Jenn Love at the end was a geek's wet dream come true.

Crimson Lightning

that was a great movie "Nah! It's simple as pie man, you plant your feet on the ground, you look her square in the eyes you say "Hey! baby, you and me's goin' on a date, that's in the story"... What's her name? ...Lance You say 'Listen here, Lance'... Lance? What the [tornado fang] did I just hear? Lance? Did you just say Lance? No! No, I didn't say Lance. I said Nance."

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.
