Plasma Puffer has all sprites, Milodon has a few, Hoatzin and Vulpex has like 3 sprites and the rest only the design.

Looking at all the Mavericks, Plasma Puffer looks the most plain out of the 8...

I like it's facial structure specially the eyes. Looks legit. My Top 3 Favorite in terms of design are Hurricane Hoatzin (Artwork plz!) Force Starfish & Crystal Rafflar

One question.

The armors in the Armor Equip menu are arranged to fit:

1. "Ultimate - Phoenix/Water combination - Standard X"
2. "Ultimate - Phoenix - Water"
3. "Ultimate - Phoenix/Water/Standard combination - something else?"

I don't really remember if you named the water armor or if it's really going into the game

so Mix'n'match on all armors, or is ultimate exempt from mixing like in 8?

In the middle is the regular X, when you select it you can choose parts, phoenix on top, water(not yet named) at the bottom.
Left side you can select the Ultimate armor as a separate set.
Right side.... I'll let you guys discover that for yourselves  .

If your still having troubles with a water based armor, I hope one or two of these ideas might help out.

Aquilon = is a water bird in general
Poseiden = sounds cool, but doesn't sound fitting for your game.
Trident = Intrigueing,  but about the same with Poseiden
Atlantis = might work
and my personal favorite, because I think it fits into your game better:
Coatl = the feathered serpent, which can also swim.

Damn those stages look hectic...

I like the progress, but I might suggest a longer recharge time for some of the weapons, it might balance the game more, and who does your music? The track is good.
