Alright JKB.

I would love to make one, but I don't have the program Flash to start making Flash games. Gotta download!
There's is another game idea brewing in my head but it's an original game idea which could be hard to make.

Anyway any tips on how to use Flash to make Flash games? Or ActionScript tips? :)

Im not JKB, but I have experience with flash to say that  a flash game is vry much an interactive movie. also, you dotn need flash to make a game, theres tons of other programs. like game maker, or the one N Mario is using.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

VirusChris

What is N Mario using to make games?

The one I had in mind is a very fast-paced hardcore 2D Side-Scrolling action Mech (Giant Robot) game.

lol

He is using Multimedia Fusion.

Like Flame said there is Game Maker and some other new game making programs out there. Flash would be a bit harder if you don't have programming experience. Nevertheless there are tons of tutorials on the web for any tool you which to make a game.

Flame

well, Flash itself requires a ton of stuff besides programming which makes it annoying. i STILL never figured out how to put a sprite in there. but thats all in the past.
Game maker is actually a very good program. that ,miku game from a while back was made with Game maker.

Nexus

Game Maker is, to some, still one of the tougher game creation programs to get into, but it can make some interesting stuff if you know what you're doing. For me, boredom and a piqued interest made me make a 2D Einhander engine example, complete with three enemies and two weapon types to pick up.

Also, i'm still wondering about that music, JKB - did you actually make original tunes for your game?

Dr. Wily II

Man, the Manticore looks so darn powerful, that laser, that laser...
And Zero action is always great to see.

Can't wait to see more. :3

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

NitroFlash is doing all the original music for the game.

VirusChris

Yep, Nitro makes excellent music! I going to ask for some more original music for my game.

I'm going to wait for Stencyl to come out to start making my fighting 2D Mech game.

Night

You may want to get your game deep in the making before you go asking for music for it.

VirusChris

He has already did a couple of original music for my RPG project "The Legendary Hero: A Journey Reborn".

So JKB how many original music do you have in your fangame?

Flame

I guess we'll find out when he actually has a definite number of how many levels he has.

RMX

That Zero and the Manticore look like a blast to play as.

He did over 20 already, and some others that he haven't finished yet.
The game will have about 40 songs.

Acid

40 full SONGS? Or does that include jingles and other rather short stuff? Like Victory fanfares?

He made 40 songs. That's as many as four tens!
And that's WONDERFUL!

Including everything that's not a sound effect.

He haven't made 40 songs yet, I was just stipulating. He made 25 songs so far and there is still plenty more stages to do and NPC themes for cutscenes.

VirusChris

Whoa! I hope you pay Nitro for all his hard work! XD

Anyway it's sounding like we're going to have a lot of new favorite songs to listen to.
