So as far as I understand it, X won't be using his saber animation from X3 in this game, right? Because X is a ranged fighter.

Unless the Beam that flies from the saber counts as a ranged attack?

Btw, I can't tell what Zero's new skill is, but it looks cool.   8)

This game is getting better and better each day. I have to say though, I have no idea what that last skill is supposed to be either.

JKB Games

The skill is just an after image that does what Zero do, doing a percent of his original damage.
Start of with one image and can be upgraded to 3 as seen on the screenshots.

Right.

VirusX

His "giga attack" was always the ground-smash thing he does when energy flies out from the explosion he makes when he hits the ground.

Err... At least I think so.

UrielManX7

sorry i meant besides that, for example if it will change if he wears his viral armor or something like that.

JKB Games

Only Black armor has the Messenko as a giga attack. I still have one more attack to make maybe that one would be a giga, I'm not sure yet.

VirusX

Okay, I have some last few questions.
Do the colors for your custom sprites use ACTUAL snes colors?

Aaand, the ultimate armor. Some of the attacks, like the charged Plasma shot, and the giga attack, they both look like they were taken straight from the
psx and just applied to the 16-bit X.

Oh yeah, and why'd you take away the stepnoise? I thought that was pretty cool.

Sorry, those should be the end of my questions for a while.

Most of them, yes.

The Nova Strike is custom and the Ultimate Buster was updated recently. Here is a screen shot.

Wasn't really fitting for the 16-bit graphics. And I changed it when i decided to use the 16-bit sfx.

Flame

So basically, the Zero skill is Heat Haze.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

Is that a skill on another game or something, you're the third person that says that.

It's one of Zero's techniques in Command Mission

Oh wow, it is really similar indeed. Haha nice to know. Thanks

Oh.. Y'think that looks better? I figured it would stay the same plasma shot as the Ultimate armor always had, just snes-ized.

It looks much better, it matches the buster style from X-X3 games. I guess you have to see it animated.

The problem is that it's too plain.
I won't say anything about the shape of the blast, since it's just one frame.

But it looks like a big ball of plain energy. There's nothing fancy about it, it just looks out of place.
Of course, it's YOUR game, I'm just giving you my opinion.

Vile 0

Do you think this game is going to be pretty easy compared to past Megaman x games?

UrielManX7

Well since looks like its question time i have a few
Can we see the menu screen from where you upgrade your skills?
Will be there a hunter base to where you can go back? like in ZX and ZXA?
Will be there npcs?

MrBaryl

Let me tell you that Hydra armor has amazing abilities and a poor artistic desing.

and phoenix armor is cheap, walking over lava is ridiculous and unrealistic.

VirusX

I dunno what YOUR animation is like, but I planned it to look something like this:

frame 1

frame 2

frame 3

Just a quick animation I made to show you what I imagined it like.
*Edit*
Again, I know it's your game. I'm just giving my own opinion.

P.S.
The colors are all SNES colors.

I think the game is pretty hard not even counting the higher difficulty settings.

That menu is not done yet.

Yeah, because MMX is all about realism.

I like the one I have more, it fits the X-X3 style better imo.

May I see the animation of it then?
If it's not too much trouble?

*Edit*

On an unrelated note, what REALLY makes a speed run amazing is advancing through a difficult level design like it's nothing.
I don't know what you have for the "Sigma stages" so far, (Which is fine, I don't need to, until you finish the game)
but if the sigma stages level designs are complicated, that'll make the game even harder.

Harder = better.  >w<

Hmm... Darn. Seems a waste to just throw that animation away now. Oh well.

its his game, it can look however he wants.
at least say WHY it has poor artistic design, Mr. Dali.

Quoteand phoenix armor is cheap, walking over lava is ridiculous and unrealistic.
As if Gaia and Shadow armor's spike immunity was more realistic right?

Also, JKB, I have to second, i wouldnt mind seeing the updated Ultimate Armor in action when you get the chance. Maybe include it in your next demonstration video?
