I did, but for all I care that was the end anyway, the controls were so [tornado fang]ing terrible that half the time it wouldn't register button commands. I'm not sure if that was a problem with the original release or not but it was an unwelcome surprise to have such stiff controls.

Wii release was fine as long as you avoided using Up for a special, since that makes you jump. Also, were you using Manual mode?

PS: I suggest you play Mystic Quest. It's a bit more on your level.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

I'm playing Final Fantasy X HD Remaster

[spoiler]on the Vita.

I'm quite enjoying it as a portable game.[/spoiler]

I heard it was terrible, and from what I've seen, really repetitive.

Back to Symphonia HD despite beating it. I need more grade and just inheriting titles and stuff isn't enough for me.

One million Casino Chips get. I got super [tornado fang]ing lucky on my last trip to the casino, started at about 400,000 and managed to get at least 4 or 5 777's and finally a lucky 3 BAR in one spin.

Now only thing to do there is buy Rare Pellets for the Figurine book to get Genis' title. Which would basically leave his 'I Hate Gels!' and costume titles left.

Only Kratos has the Coliseum to do but that'll have to wait till next playthrough for obvious reasons.
Abyssion is beaten, had to cheese it with the Toss Hammer because holy [tornado fang] he's apparently way harder than he used to be.
Sheena's Treasure Hunter title will have to wait as it seems I missed 3% of the chests and I can't [tornado fang]ing find them anywhere so I'm betting they're gone forever.
Only Raine and Sheena have their cooking titles, I'm going to try and get Zelos' as well so I can get Kratos next game with no worries.
Basically Niflheim is all that remains in terms of Sidequests, well, that and getting Regal's and Presea's best weapons.

Well, I kind of like it. Repetitive? maybe, but it's not exactly trying to be innovative. It's just a mindless brawler. Toss legions of enemies at you and let you have at em. Move on to the next area, rinse and repeat, with the occasional "boss" enemy, which later shows up as a regular stage enemy around the next stage.

It's vibrant as [tornado fang], and looks real nice. I like how Ryu Hayabusa is technically the antagonist in this. He [tornado fang]'d up Yaiba's [parasitic bomb] in the intro,  and Yaiba wants to track him down to kill him. So it's not like a reboot or anything, just a spinoff with an edgier character.

It controls pretty well, there's nothing too intrusive gameplaywise. The biggest point of contention though, is the camera. it's real bad. It is fixed, and way too zoomed in. MGR's camera was better. And it was pretty bad itself.

Yeah, no. The Wii version of DotNW had tight and responsive controls.
And you NEVER use Manual on a Tales game that has Free-Running.
There's a reason DotNW is one of my favorite titles in the series and that's the gameplay. The PS3 version's probably a bad port.

Well maybe I don't like running towards my enemy every [tornado fang]ing time I hit the attack button, seriously that's why I can't stand Semi-Auto, and don't say you do Semi-Auto because Free Run makes you take more damage if you get hit and Semi-Auto will guard automatically, that wasn't my problem, my problem was Emil not [tornado fang]ing responding when I hit buttons and getting his stupid ass staggered and dazed.
What if I want to play as a Spellcaster? Not that I really want to but they do this stupid [parasitic bomb] where they get all cozy to an enemy before casting if you play on Semi-Auto.

Maybe I want to use Havoc Strike and not have it do nothing, I had it set to UP+O but it didn't do ANYTHING, no jumping, no attack, nothing.

And again, coming right off of Symphonia where the controls worked and I primarily used the D-Pad in fights so I didn't do a Demonic Thrust (Side+O) when I meant to do a Raining Tiger Blade (Down+O), in DotNW they didn't bother to put in options to change controls or to use the D-Pad. Free Run in that sucked anyway, too slow and why do I need to guard to use it? In fact really I never use Free Run unless I'm cornered and I never got cornered, just staggered to [parasitic bomb].

Point is, it frustrated me and turned me off from it.

Amatiramisu

Yeah, I don't know what to say man. I don't have a PS3 and I haven't tried DotNW on that version. I have the original Wii title and it's really responsive, if not more responsive than Abyss 3DS.

Fxeni

... I can't stand anything but Manual in Tales games (for the most part). I like having control over every aspect of the fight, and running towards an enemy and using the attack before/after I would is certainly not controlled enough for my liking.

I've had the original Wii version since the year it came out. Never played it once because I was waiting till I finished Symphonia, which I lost interest in on the Gamecube because I started moving really slowly because my controller had gone to [parasitic bomb] (it was also a borrowed game so I didn't have time to play it often.) So when the HD set of both games came out I just resigned to not bothering with the Wii version of DotNW and playing the PS3 version instead when it came out.

How is Abyss for 3DS, anyway? I've been kinda interested in that.

Amatiramisu

Abyss 3DS suffers some really [tornado fang]ing massive frame drop on the overworld in some places, but aside from that it's a satisfactory port. Looks better than the PS2 version and loading times are shorter. Looks like ass in 3D though but it's tolerable.

It's still a good game and it handles beautifully, don't get me wrong. It just suffers from a bit of framerate issues and the 3D isn't done well at all (lots of ghost images and depth issues), so I suggest keeping it in 2D.

Hmm, so nothing I should rush out to get. But I'll probably get it eventually.

Thanks.

Completed main story of Megaman Star Force Leo for the first time. I'm not a pro, but Andromeda was kinda easy (beaten him at second try).

EDIT: Whoops, wrong thread. Playing some Doom: PS1 Edition on PC and Zeno Clash.

Amatiramisu

I've come back to Skyrim at last.

TIL M'aiq the Liar isn't just some joke easter egg NPC. Turns out this whole time he was just really [tornado fang]'d up on Skooma.

Yeah, the game overall was pretty easy.

Cherrykorock

StarForce was easy but fun.
2 had way too high of a random battle rate and I don't like that at all.
3 is overall my favorite with all the noise abilities, brother band, having the ability to quickly swap between 4 folders and finalizing with the meteor server rocks.

PS Rouge noise for life Lol.

Also been playing DoA Dimensions.

I tried out Guilty Gear for the PS1, but made the mistake of using D-Pad for movement. I still have Nintendo thumb from Justice...and an irrational hatred for lasers...

Maybe X is probably better or something. It's still a great game, though instant kills are really cheap and terribly handled by the AI.

Speaking of Guilty Gear, I recently downloaded Guilty Gear X2 #Reload.

For someone that's not the best at fighting games, I actually enjoy it quite a bit. However, I've yet to beat I-No.

Again, not the best...

Guilty Gear PSX is very rare.  He's most likely surprised from that.
