Finished Prime 2 in 3:21... that was my fastest time ever. Could have been much faster, but I spent a good amount of time learning new tricks. Skipped Dark Suit, Gravity Boost and Echo Visor, plus the Temple Keys for Agon and Sanctuary. My new SB record!

Also played SFxMM and couldn't find the new hidden boss... I wonder if we have to beat the old hidden boss again?

The Drunken Dishwasher

On the way to plat Asura's Wrath, while taking my time on Ep.IV: Nirvana.

I dunno why but i'm really enjoying attaining the S ranks for each eps (in hard mode of course).  Some eps can be really tricky and just trying to do more to get more points while not stalling too much for the time score really gives this game have this small 'depth' to the gameplay segments, it's really neat~ :D

And of course Anarchy Reigns~

Oh man, fighting Sagat and a buffed Bison with one health bar... holy crap. That was awesome, and <b>tough</b>. Sagat's faster attacks are often easier to dodge than his slow attacks, 'cause just like the fighting games, the slow stuff always throws off your timing.

I ended up getting a Perfect against Sagat on my successful run. It was mostly luck though, he used a ton of Tiger Knee (which is always followed by a Tiger Uppercut... the only thing about his moves that has a pattern) and Ultras.

Buffed Bison kicked my ass. I beat him with like 3 HP left. Nothing deals enough damage to this guy. Best you can do is charge up a Hadoken for 2 damage, but that means dodging at least two attacks while it's charging.

So yeah. Bring those E-Tanks, 'cause you'll have to fight both guys in one go. I only had one E-Tank on me, and was saving that until I got a good run, but in the end killed both with one health bar. Maybe I shouldn't have used 5 on the refights (just to make sure I had the 4 Perfects necessary).

The boss fights in this game... fantastic.

Picking up Metroid Prime. I didn't like it and dropped it halfway through but friend convinced me to give it another go.
Still on Bastion. Aaand my save is gone again.
Nearly finished with Black Mesa.
About halfway through Dishonored.
Aaand I've begun my trek through allegedly the winner of the "TOO DAMN LONG" title, Strider Mountain, an HL2 mod.

you're a braver man than me. I just could not find any motivation to trek through the entire thing. The giant fetchquest at the end utterly killed it.

What sort of run are you doing?

What sort of run are you doing?

Just a regular run. First time through the game. I got some pretty high chaos the first two missions because I was thinking I could pull an army guy on it. So now I'm trying to go no-kill. Or at least minimal kill if worst comes to worst. Minimal detection too. I got seen a couple times but a couple blinks and I don't care. Choking people never stops being fun.

I'll pick it back up maybe a couple months after I beat it and maybe record a no-kill/ghost run on it if I ever get a little better at it.

irgpie

1st time I did Low Chaos with only Double Jump and Vitality upgrades. Killed Campbell and Pendletons but went strictly non-lethal after.
2nd time I did Low Chaos with every Ghost & No Kill bonus without upgrading a single power and used Blink only in forced scenarios.
3rd time I did High Chaos with maxed Blink, Time Stop, and Shadow Kill.
4th time I did Low Chaos with Ghost and No Kill but maxed out Blink and Time Stop and collected every Upgrade, Sokolov Portrait, Bone Charm, and Rune except one I somehow missed in the 3rd last mission.

Quicksave is my friend. Good luck if you're not on PC. Though I imagine the save and load times are just as fast.

P.S. Play Thief after like seriously. I have digital copies I'd be very wiling to give to anyone interested.

Amatiramisu

I am actually playing on PC.

I tried downloading Thief but it wouldn't work right on my system. Apparently I'm not the only one to have this problem.

irgpie

if it's Thief 1, use this

if it's Thief 2, use this

http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140085

the above one can also be applied to Thief 1 but I'd advise against it because they made a really stupid change to the control scheme for running.

any issues and I will walk you through it by whatever means. I am devoted to this [parasitic bomb] lemme tell ya.

About the fetch quest in Metroid Prime: when I first played the game, I had the exact same feeling. Basically forced myself to finish. A few months later, I decided to replay the game just because, and liked it a little better... then I learned a trick here and there, and liked it some more... and now I basically play the thing every couple weeks.

You can get many Artifacts on your way, and if you're willing to sequence break (get stuff before you're supposed to), this is even easier. Unfortunately, the whole thing is too annoying on the first run.

irgpie

I'd force myself to get back into it if I didn't have so many other things to play that interest me much more honestly. Maybe some day I will care to try. Also while I imagine sequence breaking would take some practice in the first place, I only have the Trilogy version which fixed a lot of that anyways.

Finally got my very first well-deserved Platinum trophy on my PSN profile, even tho it was on a game I already finished on 360 earlier back in 2011. XD

The Ranking Attack mode took some time to update the time records for each Act, but the trophy still unlocked once all Zones were beaten.

So many fun games I can start on my still fresh and new PS3 from here (Got it for only a week and is already LV5). 3D Dot Game Heroes (as shown in my profile), Neptunia series, Okami HD, the Jak series, Sly series, Ratchet series, SotC, you know the idea, I could go on forever! 8D

except Sly 3 that one gets kinda dumb for trophies though I imagine you've gone through worse.

With over 440+ games on 360 and still counting, yea there has been some worse moments here and there lol. XD

And I so had to start Super SF4 again, but on PS3, since that one has long grind of getting Rank C online with every character. But the good thing this time, it was free on PS+. :3

Get Journey! This game is art porn at its finest~ 0v0

Still wish I could some matches with Senko no Ronde with anybody now that I got my gold membership back on Xbox LIVE. There's hardly anyone I knew with this game...

I'm close to wrapping up BlazBlue CS's story mode, just a few characters and side-stories until the True Ending. The "Help Me, Prof. Konone!" segments are hilarious. So far my favorite ones are from Makoto, Noel, Arakune and Jin's.
At least these cheered me up after seeing Makoto getting her mind raped by Relius Clover, what a bastard!
I'm also kinda speeding my through La-Mulana since I finished a while ago. Definitely worth getting though probably best to get it on PC since it's the "complete" version of the game if you don't spending a little extra; the Hell Temple is not in the WiiWare version yet, hence why it's $5 cheaper than the PC version.
Terumi is a huuuuge troll and a dick, but Relius is in a class of dickery of his own. You played Carl's story yet?
I bought a Classic Controller Pro. The grip seems much better and the button placement too. Let's test this thing with a SNES VC game.

I was recommending it to Vixy...

I too, highly recommend it. Didn't expect much going into it, but it was quite an experience. Oddly enough, I enjoyed it even more when watching my brother play it. You notice even more subtle details.
Oh yeah, before I got to Makoto's actually. What kind of sick [tornado fang] turns his wife and daughter into Nox Nyctores? No wonder Carl lost his faith in adults...

Well, I suggest you get to Relius and Valkenhayn's story modes, if you have them unlocked. You will learn a bit about why he's such a sick [tornado fang]. Especially in his own story, of course.
I got to Valkenhayn's already, but I still haven't gotten to Relius' yet. I still have Lambda-11, Platinum, Relius, and Hazama's story left. I've already 100% the story of everyone else. And Kokonoe will be happy to know I'm not one of those nutbars who used a guide to do it! >0<
Oh boy.
Hazama's story is the PINNACLE of TROLLING. You'll see. : D
Why did that need to go into a spoiler, I dunno.
