also, looks like Cowboy Kirby from the minigame in Super Star Ultra returns, and Cannon Kirby should be fun.

The abilities so far.

カービィ (Kirby): Normal Kirby that can gain new abilities by eating enemies.
ウィップ (Whip): The cowboy ability.
ソード (Sword): Link~ >u<
リーフ (Leaf): Grass thingy. ^^
ウォーター (Water): Surfing ~~Pikachu~~ Kirby. ;3

The fire dragon one, it could be just the ファイア (Fire) ability powered up.
The same way you can summon a big sword with the Sword ability. ^^;

I slithered in to say, I like Kirby. This game makes me Tingle in excitement, hopefully I will be able to get my pose able thumbs on this game.

Waiting for word on what bullshit motion controls they'll force on you like DKC Returns.

Also, I notice a fascination with 'big' things lately from Nintendo. Like giant super mushroom, giant sword for kirby, etc. In this case it seems like its working counter to the simplistic gameplay Kirby does so well.

Huh, so KSSU broke the "angry American Kirby" cycle, and this game brings it back again?

At any rate, this game looks amazing, and that Ultra Flame move looks like it was ripped right from a Darkstalkers game (I forget whose move that was). Water Kirby finally being playable after all these years is a huge plus, too.

...I keep thinking there is ONE GUY at Nintendo of America who thinks Kirby must be sold as a badass action hero, and nothing else. This can't all just be a funny coincidence. Heck, maybe they're carrying it on as a joke.

Although Kirby IS a Lovecraftian beast who subjugates smaller nonharmful races to its enormous appetite and brings angryfaced monarchs back into their thrones, so he's probably got something there.

I don't know about you guys but, I love how the Japanese art says "bwing it on! we aw the kuuby cwew!" while the American is like "[sonic slicer] please! I got a giant sword!"

Alright, I've never played Epic Yarn, but watching this gameplay alone leads me to believe that Return to Dreamland would be a much better purchase. This looks so satisfyingly terrific to play.

It most assuredly is. Epic Yarn is a visual delight, but due to the game itself being probably the easiest platforming game of all time, if you're not going for a no-hit run of the game, there's just no game there. It's beautiful, of course. But it fails in delivering much. While this game seems VERY, VERY good, and while keeping with the multiplayer co-op platformer trend, it looks like it can get chaotic.

Unless Rayman Origins comes out for PC too... in which case I only have to worry about Kirby.

In any case, I like what I'm seeing. This reminds me of Amazing Mirror, and that was an awesome game for two players (or more).

Is it just me, or does the kirby on the bottom left holding on look like he's humping the other kirby?

Anyways, yup. I'm definitely getting this game. Even though it's not a true Kirby game. It's more like a Touch & go game, really.

It is the ONLY decent way to play Wii games. No other way to make them look beautiful otherwise. I can't even stand them on my VGA output anymore.
